Kent County Council, acting in exercise of its powers under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, makes or intends to make the following Orders.
SEVENOAKS AREA
BOWER LANE, EYNSFORD. DA4 0HW (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2024
Because of Openreach works, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Bower Lane, Eynsford, on or after 7th October 2024 for up to 1 day between 09.30hrs and 15.30hrs or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed near number 26.
The alternative route is via Bower Lane, Birchin Cross Road, Row Dow, Pilgrims Way East, A225 Shoreham Road/Station Road/High Street and vice versa.
BROCAS ROAD, HEVER TN8 7LE (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2024
Because of urgent carriageway repairs, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic Brocas Road, Hever, on or after 8th October 2024 for up to 1 day between 07:30hrs and 16:00hrs or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed for the entire length.
The alternative route is via Hever Road, New House Farm Road, Newhouse Farm Lane and vice versa.
CHILDSBRIDGE LANE, SEAL, TN15 0BY (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2024
Because of a detailed examination of the bridge structure, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Childsbridge Lane, Seal, on or after 29th September 2024 for up to 1 day between 08.00hrs and 18.00hrs or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed at the railway bridge.
The alternative route is via Childsbridge Lane, Church Street, A25 High Street/Seal Road, A225 Otford Road/Sevenoaks Road/Station Road, Pilgrims Way East, Pilgrims Way and vice versa.
EYNSFORD ROAD, CROCKENHILL, BR8 8EJ (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2024
Because of Openreach works, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Eynsford Road, Crockenhill, on or after 27th September 2024 for up to 1 day between 09.30hrs and 15.30hrs or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed between Gosenhill Farm and Wested Farm.
The alternative route is via Eynsford Road, Main Road, B258 Broadway/Green Court Road/Goldsel Road, B2173 London Road, Wested Lane and vice versa.
GROVE ROAD, PENSHURST. TN11 8DU (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2024
Because of carriageway repairs, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on Grove Road, Penshurst, on or after 7th October 2024 for up to 1 day between 07.30hrs and 16.00hrs or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed for the entire length.
The alternative route is via B2188 Fordcombe Road, Smarts Hill, Coldharbour Road, Finch Green, Grove Road and vice versa.
HORTON ROAD, HORTON KIRBY. DA4 9DG (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2024
Because of the refreshment of centre lines, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Horton Road, Horton Kirby, on or after 11th October 2024 for up to 1 evening between 19:00hrs and 23:59hrs or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed from Bull Hill to 20m past Jacobs Lane.
The alternative route is via The Street, Forge Lane, Jacobs Lane and vice versa.
ROODLANDS LANE, FOUR ELMS, TN8 6PD (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2024
Because of tree cutting, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Roodlands Lane, Four Elms, on or after 27th September 2024 for up to 1 day between 09.30hrs and 16.30hrs or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed between Homewood Road and Mead Cottage.
The alternative route is via Roodlands Lane, B2042 Green Lane/Ide Hill Road, B2027 Bough Beech Road and vice versa.
SANDFIELD ROAD, PENSHURST. TN11 8HB (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2024
Because of Openreach works, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on Sandfield Road, Penshurst, on or after 9th October 2024 for up to 1 day between 09.30hrs and 15.30hrs or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed for the entire length.
The alternative route is via B2188 Saints Hill, Smarts Hill, Nunnery Lane and vice versa.
SCABHARBOUR ROAD, SEVENOAKS WEALD. TN14 6NL (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2024
Because of UK Power Networks, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Scabharbour Road, Sevenoaks Weald, on or after 7th October 2024 for up to 5 days or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed works outside Pitts Farm.
The alternative route is via Scabharbour Road, Philpots Lane, Watts Cross Road, B245 London Road, A225 Weald Interchange, Morleys Road and vice versa.
SHACKLANDS ROAD, SHOREHAM, TN14 7TT (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2024
Because of Openreach works, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Shacklands Road, Shoreham, on or after 25th September 2024 for up to 1 day between 08.30hrs and 15.30hrs or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed outside Hungrydown.
The alternative route is via High Street, Filston Lane, Pilgrims Way West, Pilgrims Way Link Bridge, A224 Polhill/London Road, Badgers Mount Roundabout, Shacklands Road and vice versa.
SKEYNES ROAD, EDENBRIDGE, TN8 5DZ (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2024
To allow a compound area for works on Lingfield Road, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Skeynes Road, Edenbridge, on or after 23rd September 2024 for up to 40 days or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed at the junction with Lingfield Road.
The alternative route is via Lingfield Road, B2026 Mont St Aignan Way, Stangrove Road, Crouch House Road, Skeynes Road and vice versa.
UCKFIELD LANE, HEVER, TN8 7LH (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2024
Because of tree cutting, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Uckfield Lane, Hever, on or after 24th September 2024 for up to 1 day between 09.30hrs and 16.30hrs or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed between Chippens Lane and Rectory Lane.
The alternative route is via Cowden Pound Road, B2026 Stick Hill/Hartfield Road/Mill Hill, Hever Road, Uckfield Lane and vice versa.
YORKS HILL, IDE HILL TN14 6HY (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2024
Kent County Council intends to make an Order for the safety of the public whilst an event is being held on the highway to temporarily prohibit the use of Vehicles on:-
Yorks Hill, Ide Hill from Gracious Lane to outside Yorks Hill Farm
The alternative route is via Gracious Lane, B2042 Wheatsheaf Hill/Ide Hill Road and Scallops.
The Order will become effective on 13th October 2024 between 08.00hrs and 13.00hrs The restrictions/prohibitions specified in this notice will apply only during such times and to such extent as indicated by traffic signs in operation.
Nothing in the Order will apply to:
Any Vehicle being used for Ambulance purposes, Coastguard/RNLI, Fire Brigade or Police services.
Anything done by a Statutory Undertaker vehicle in connection with an emergency repair.
Anything done with the permission or at the direction of Event Organisers or a Police Constable in Uniform.

Because of Gateway Surfacing works, Kent County Council has made an Order prohibiting through traffic on Various Roads, Sevenoaks, as per the schedule below.
The roads will not be closed at the same time.
