Hollygate Lane - Temporary Prohibition of Proceeding For Resurfacing Works
What is happening?
THE NOTTINGHAMSHIRE COUNTY COUNCIL
(HOLLYGATE LANE, COTGRAVE)
(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF PROCEEDING) ORDER 2024 (R24-218)
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Nottinghamshire County Council intends not less than seven days from the date of this Notice to make an Order, under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, in respect of roads at Cotgrave in the Borough of Rushcliffe.
The effects of the Order will be:
1. Vehicles are prohibited from proceeding in the following length of road:
a. Hollygate Lane, Cotgrave - between its junctions with Colston Gate and Harvest Drive.
2. All existing permanent restrictions will be temporarily suspended as required.
3. The restrictions specified above shall only be in effect when the signs are in place.
IT IS INTENDED that the prohibitions respecting the above road or roads will apply as follows:
From 07:30 on Friday 27th September 2024 Until 17:00 on Friday 4th October 2024 inclusive.
AND NOTICE IS HEREBY FURTHER GIVEN that during the period of restriction the alternative route available will be:
Bingham Road - Main Road - Stragglethorpe Road - Hollygate Lane and vice versa.
The Order will come into force on 27th September 2024 and any prohibition in it shall apply on that day and any subsequent day when necessary to enable works to be carried out.
The Order shall continue in force until the works are completed (within a maximum period of 18 months).
The prohibition is required to enable Barratt Homes to carry out resurfacing works;
