What is happening?

KIRKLEES COUNCIL

(TRAFFIC REGULATION) (NO. 16) ORDER 2023 BLACKMOORFOOT ROAD, BULAY ROAD, NELSON STREET AND SPRINGDALE AVENUE, HUDDERSFIELD

The Council of the Borough of Kirklees have made the above Order under their powers in the Road Traffc Regulation Act 1984 the effect of which, as it affects lengths of road in the Huddersfeld area of the Kirklees district, will be to:

Prohibit the waiting at any time on the following lengths of road:-
1. Blackmoorfoot Road, Crosland Moor, Huddersfeld
a) North-west side from a point 60 metres south-west of its junction with Hob Lane for a distance of 87 metres in a southwesterly direction
b) South-east side from its junction with Thewlis Lane for a distance of 78 metres in a north-easterly direction
c) South-east side from a point 113 metres north-east of its junction with Thewlis Lane for a distance of 49 metres in a north-easterly direction

2. Bulay Road, Thornton Lodge, Huddersfeld
a) Both sides from its junction with Springdale Avenue for a distance of 10 metres in a north-easterly direction
b) South side from a point 41 metres north-east of its junction with Springdale Avenue for a distance of 22 metres in a northeasterly and south-easterly direction
c) South-west side from its junction with Nelson Street for a distance of 10 metres in a north-westerly direction

3. Nelson Street, Thornton Lodge, Huddersfeld
a) Both sides from its junction with Bulay Road for a distance of 10 metres in a south-westerly direction
b) Both sides from its junction with Springdale Avenue for a distance of 10 metres in a north-easterly direction

4. Springdale Avenue, Thornton Lodge, Huddersfeld
a) North-east side from its junction with Bulay Road for a distance of 10 metres in a south-easterly direction
b) North-east side from its junction with Nelson Street for a distance of 10 metres in a north-westerly direction
c) North-east side from its junction with Nelson Street for a distance of 10 metres in a south-easterly direction
d) North-east side from its junction with Bulay Road for a distance of 10 metres in a north-westerly direction

This Order was made on 04 September 2024 and will take effect on 16 September 2024.

Any person wishing to challenge the Order on the grounds that it is not within the powers of the Road Traffc Regulation Act 1984 or that any requirements of that, or of any instrument made under it, have not been complied with may apply to the High Court within six weeks following 16 September 2024.
