What is happening?

LANCASHIRE COUNTY COUNCIL
(GRANGE ROAD, SINGLETON, FYLDE BOROUGH)
(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF THROUGH TRAFFIC) ORDER 2024

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Lancashire County Council intends to make an Order under Section 14(1) (a) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, the effect of which will be to temporarily prohibit traffic on the roads set out in this Order.
1. No person shall cause any motor vehicle to proceed over that length of Grange Road, Singleton from a point approximately 88 metres in a westerly direction from its junction with Fleetwood Road to outside the Grange Hill Shale Gas Exploration Site.
2. Nothing in this Order shall apply to persons engaged in the carrying out of the works.
3. The prohibition will be operative daily from 0830 hours to 1500 hours on Monday 30th September 2024 until Tuesday 1st October 2024 or until completion of the works within this period.
4. Vehicular access for residents will be maintained whenever and wherever possible. Pedestrian access to properties will always be maintained.
5. An alternative route for vehicular traffic affected by the closure is via:
Larbreck Road – Mile Road – The Village – Church Road
The temporary prohibition is necessary to allow telecom pole replacement works to be carried out by BT Openreach.
