The East Sussex (Buxted, Framfield & Blackboys) (40mph and 50mph Speed Limit) Order 202*

NOTICE is hereby given that East Sussex County Council propose to make an Order under Sections 84 (1) and (2) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, and of all other enabling powers, which would amend the speed limits in the following lengths of road;

40 mph Speed Limit

B2192 Lewes Road – from a point 206 metres northeast of its junction with the B2102 High Street, south-westwards to a point 50 metres northeast of its junction with Hollow Lane. C508 Star Lane – from its junction with the B2102 High Street, south westwards to its junction with the B2192 Lewes Road.

50 mph Speed Limit

B2192 Lewes Road – from a point 50 metres northeast of its junction with Hollow Lane, south-westwards, then southwards to a point 165 metres south of its junction with Stonebridge Lane.

The East Sussex (Lewes District) (Traffic Regulation) Order 2004 Amendment Order 2005 No.1 (Cooksbridge) Amendment Order 202* No.*

NOTICE is hereby given that East Sussex County Council propose to make an Order under the relevant sections of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, and of all other enabling powers, which will introduce no waiting at any time restrictions in the following lengths of road:

No Waiting At Any Time in the following roads in Cooksbridge:

Cooksbridge Road

East side from the southern kerbline of Hamsey Lane southwards for 16 metres

East side from the northern kerbline of Hamsey Lane northwards for 16 metres

West side from the southern kerbline of Chatfield Close southwards for 42 metres

West side from the northern kerbline of Chatfield Close northwards for 12 metres

Hamsey Lane Both sides from the junction with A275 Cooksbridge Road eastwards for 20 metres
Chatfield Close Both sides from the junction with A275 Cooksbridge Road westwards for 5.5 metres

The East Sussex (U7564 Bigknowle Hill, Heathfield) (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2024 No.2

To allow UKPN to carry out works, East Sussex County Council have made an Order under Sections 14(1) and 15(1)(b) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, which will temporarily close the following length of road;

Temporary Road Closure

Bigknowle Hill – for its entire length.

A safe route will be provided for pedestrians and vehicular access for residents and to properties maintained whenever possible.

The Order commences 16 September 2024 and lasts for a period of 18 months, or until works are completed, whichever is earlier. However, it is anticipated works will be undertaken between 16 and 20 September 2024 depending upon the weather conditions. The East Sussex (C214 Witherenden Hill, Burwash) (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2024

To allow BT Openreach to carry out works, East Sussex County Council have made an Order under Sections 14(1) and 15(1)(b) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, which will temporarily close the following length of road;

Temporary Road Closure

Witherenden Hill – from the junction with C275 Spring Lane to the junction with C214 Station Road.

A safe route will be provided for pedestrians and vehicular access for residents and to properties maintained whenever possible with an alternative route for through traffic via C214 Station Road – C83 Cottenden Road – C212 Battenhurst Road, Shrub Lane – A265 High Street, Paygate, Heathfield Road – C214 Swing Gate Hill and vice versa.

The Order commences 13 September 2024 and lasts for a period of 18 months, or until works are completed, whichever is earlier. The East Sussex (C26 Eastbourne Road, Ridgewood, Uckfield) (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2024

To allow East Sussex Highways to carry out works, East Sussex County Council have made an Order under Sections 14(1) and 15(1)(b) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, which will temporarily close the following length of road;

Temporary Road Closure

Eastbourne Road – from the junction with A22 Eastbourne Road to the Highlands roundabout.

A safe route will be provided for pedestrians and vehicular access for residents and to properties maintained whenever possible with an alternative route for through traffic via C58 Lewes Road – A22 Uckfield bypass and vice versa.

The Order commences 19 September 2024 and lasts for a period of 18 months, or until works are completed, whichever is earlier. The East Sussex (C114 Muddles Green, Chiddingly) (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2024

To allow East Sussex Highways to carry out works, East Sussex County Council have made an Order under Sections 14(1) and 15(1)(b) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, which will temporarily close the following length of road;

Temporary Road Closure

Muddles Green – from the junction with U7675 Rosemount to Westgates.

A safe route will be provided for pedestrians and vehicular access for residents and to properties maintained whenever possible with a route for through traffic via C114 Muddles Green, Burgh Hill Road – A22 Golden Cross – C330 Nash Street, Thunders Hill, Gun Hill, Pick Hill – C114 Stonehill, Hale Green, Scrapers Hill, Muddles Green and vice versa.

The Order commenced 9 August 2024 and lasts for a period of 18 months, or until works are completed, whichever is earlier. The East Sussex (C277 North Road, Bodle Street Green) (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2024 No.2

To allow East Sussex Highways to carry out works, East Sussex County Council have made an Order under Sections 14(1) and 15(1)(b) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, which will temporarily close the following length of road;

Temporary Road Closure

North Road – from the junction with U7604 Trumpets Lane to Pear Tree Cottage.

A safe route will be provided for pedestrians and vehicular access for residents and to properties maintained whenever possible with an alternative route for through traffic via C277 North Road, Redpale, Bluekiln Road – C18 South Lane – B2096 Woods Corner, Battle Road, Carricks Hill, Earls Down – C279 Rookery Lane – C16 Back Lane, Bodle Street Road, White Horse Road – C277 North Road and vice versa.

The Order commences 17 September 2024 and lasts for a period of 18 months, or until works are completed, whichever is earlier. However, it is anticipated works will be undertaken on 17 and 18 September 2024 depending upon the weather conditions. The East Sussex (Skyline Events London to Brighton Cycle Ride) (Special Event) Order 2024

To enable Skyline Events to hold the London to Brighton cycle event on Sunday 15 September 2024, East Sussex County Council have made an Order under Sections 16 A to C of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, which will temporarily impose restrictions on the following length of road;

Temporary Road Closure – from 00.01hrs to 23.59hrs on 15 September 2024

C203 Upper Beacon Road & C203 Ditchling Road, Ditchling – from the junction with B2112 Clayton Road to the Brighton & Hove county boundary.

A safe route will be provided for pedestrians and vehicular access for residents and to properties maintained whenever possible with an alternative route for through traffic south via Ditchling Road toward Coldean Lane. Turn right onto Coldean Lane. At the roundabout, take the 1st exit onto Carden Avenue. At the roundabout, take the 3rd exit onto the A27 ramp to Worthing/London/Hove/A23. Merge onto A27. Take the ramp to A23/London/Brighton/Gatwick Airport. At the roundabout take the 1st exit onto A27. At the roundabout take the 3rd exit onto London Road/A23. Slight left onto A273. Turn right onto B2112 Clayton Road and vice versa.

The East Sussex (A22 Polegate Road, Hailsham) (Temporary 40 & 20 mph Speed Limit) Order 2024

To allow Avidety to carry out works, East Sussex County Council have made an Order under Sections 14(1) and 15(1)(b) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, which will temporarily restrict all traffic using the following lengths of road to speeds not exceeding 40mph and 20mph:

Temporary 40 mph Speed Limit

A22 Polegate Road, from a point 265 metres north of A22 Hailsham – southbound Diplocks roundabout southwards to a carriageway          point 720 metres north of A22 Arlington Eagles roundabout

A22 Polegate Road,  from Tudor Close northwards to a point Hailsham – northbound 10 metres north of A22 Diplocks carriageway    roundabout

Temporary 20mph Speed Limit

A22 Polegate Road,from a point 720 metres north of A22 Hailsham – southbound Arlington Eagles roundabout carriageway southwards to Roadways Depot

The Order commences 17 September 2024 and lasts for a period of 18 months, or until the works are completed, whichever is the earlier. The East Sussex (A267 New North Street, Hellingly) (Temporary 40 mph Speed Limit) Order 2024

To allow Sunninghill Construction to carry out works, East Sussex County Council intend not less than seven days from the date of this notice to make an Order under Sections 14(1) and 15(1)(b) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, which will temporarily restrict all traffic using the following length of road to a speed not exceeding 40 mph:-

Temporary 40 mph Speed Limit

New North Street – from the A22 Boship roundabout to the junction with B2104 North Street

The Order commences 30 September 2024 and lasts for a period of 18 months, or until the works are completed, whichever is the earlier. The East Sussex (U7672 Graywood Road, East Hoathly) (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2024 No. 2

To allow Power On to carry out works, East Sussex County Council intend not less than seven days from the date of this notice to make an Order under Sections 14(1) and 15(1)(b) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, which will temporarily close the following length of road;

Temporary Road Closure

Graywood Road – from the junction with C13 Waldron Road to the junction with U7026 Holdcroft Lane.

A safe route will be provided for pedestrians and vehicular access for residents and to properties maintained whenever possible with an alternative route for through traffic via C13 Waldron Road – U7026 Holdcroft Lane and vice versa.

The Order commences 30 September 2024 and lasts for a period of 18 months, or until works are completed, whichever is earlier. However, it is anticipated works will be undertaken between 30 September and 13 November 2024 depending upon the weather conditions.

The East Sussex (U7880 Boars Head Road, Boars Head) (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2024

To allow BT Openreach to carry out works, East Sussex County Council intend not less than seven days from the date of this notice to make an Order under Sections 14(1) and 15(1)(b) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, which will temporarily close the following length of road;

Temporary Road Closure

Boars Head Road – from the junction with A26 Eridge Road to the junction with U7881 Limekiln Forest Road.

A safe route will be provided for pedestrians and vehicular access for residents and to properties maintained whenever possible with an alternative route for through traffic via A26 Eridge Road – U7420 Sandhill Lane – U7881 Limekiln Forest Road and vice versa.

The Order commences 27 September 2024 and lasts for a period of 18 months, or until works are completed, whichever is earlier. However, it is anticipated works will be undertaken between 27 and 30 September 2024 depending upon the weather conditions.

The East Sussex (C483 Alice Bright Lane, Crowborough) (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2024 No.2

To allow BT Openreach to carry out works, East Sussex County Council intend not less than seven days from the date of this notice to make an Order under Sections 14(1) and 15(1)(b) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, which will temporarily close the following length of road;

Alice Bright Lane – from the junction with U7487 Stone Cross Road to the junction with C11 Fermor Road.

A safe route will be provided for pedestrians and vehicular access for residents and to properties maintained whenever possible with an alternative route for through traffic via U7487 Stone Cross Road – U7477 Aldervale Cottages – C11 Fermor Road and vice versa.

The Order commences 1 October 2024 and lasts for a period of 18 months, or until works are completed, whichever is earlier. The East Sussex (U7072 Old Road, Hailsham/Herstmonceux) (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2024

To allow BT Openreach to carry out works, East Sussex County Council intend not less than seven days from the date of this notice to make an Order under Sections 14(1) and 15(1)(b) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, which will temporarily close the following length of road;

Old Road – from the junction with U7073 Squab Lane to the junction with A271 New Road.

The Order commences 2 October 2024 and lasts for a period of 18 months, or until works are completed, whichever is earlier. The East Sussex (U5467 Links Road, Seaford) (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2024

To allow BT Openreach to carry out works, East Sussex County Council intend not less than seven days from the date of this notice to make an Order under Sections 14(1) and 15(1)(b) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, which will temporarily close the following length of road;

Links Road – from the junction with U5457 Chyngton Road to the junction with U5467 Rother Road.

A safe route will be provided for pedestrians and vehicular access for residents and to properties maintained whenever possible with an alternative route for through traffic via U5467 Rother Road – U5520 Southdown Road – U5457 Chyngton Road and vice versa.

The Order commences 2 October 2024 and lasts for a period of 18 months, or until works are completed, whichever is earlier. The East Sussex (U7901 Frog Hole Lane, Five Ashes) (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2024

To allow East Sussex Highways to carry out works, East Sussex County Council intend not less than seven days from the date of this notice to make an Order under Sections 14(1) and 15(1)(b) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, which will temporarily close the following length of road;

The East Sussex (B2188 Church Hill, Crowborough) (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2024

To allow South East Water to carry out works, East Sussex County Council intend not less than seven days from the date of this notice to make an Order under Sections 14(1) and 15(1)(b) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, which will temporarily close the following length of road;

Temporary Road Closure

Church Hill – from the junction with U7848 Whitehouse Lane to the junction with B2188 Black Hill.

A safe route will be provided for pedestrians and vehicular access for residents and to properties maintained whenever possible with an alternative route for through traffic via B2188 Lye Green Road, Plumyfeather Lane, Cherry Gardens Hill, Hendal Hill – B2110 Withyham Road, Castlefields, High Street – B2026 Jib Jacks Hill, Cotchford Hill, Chuck Hatch Road, High Road and vice versa.

The Order commences 3 October 2024 and lasts for a period of 18 months, or until works are completed, whichever is earlier. The East Sussex (U7064 Gibraltar Rise/Highcroft Crescent, Heathfield) (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2024

To allow East Sussex Highways to carry out works, East Sussex County Council intend not less than seven days from the date of this notice to make an Order under Sections 14(1) and 15(1)(b) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, which will temporarily close the following lengths of road;

Temporary Road Closures

Gibraltar Rise – from the junction with C273 Station Road to the junction with Davenport Park.

Highcroft Crescent – from the junction with U7064 Gibraltar Rise to the junction with U7064 Wren Close.

A safe route will be provided for pedestrians and vehicular access for residents and to properties maintained whenever possible with an alternative route for through traffic via C273 Station Road – A265 High Street – U7064 Gibraltar Rise, Marshlands Lane, Highcroft Crescent and vice versa.

The Order commences 30 September 2024 and lasts for a period of 18 months, or until works are completed, whichever is earlier. However, it is anticipated works will be undertaken on 30 September and 1 October 2024 depending upon the weather conditions.

The East Sussex (B2193 Friars Walk/Lansdown Place, Lewes) (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2024

To allow East Sussex Highways to carry out works, East Sussex County Council intend not less than seven days from the date of this notice to make an Order under Sections 14(1) and 15(1)(b) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, which will temporarily close the following length of road;

Temporary Road Closure

Friars Walk/Lansdown Place – from the junction with A277 High Street to the junction with B2193 Station Road.

A safe route will be provided for pedestrians and vehicular access for residents and to properties maintained whenever possible with an alternative route for through traffic eastbound via B2193 Station Road, Priory Street, Southover High Street – C7 Bell Lane, Winterbourne Hollow – A277 Western Road, High Street – A2029 Market Street, North Street, Little East Street, Eastgate Street & westbound via A277 High Street, Western Road – C7 Winterbourne Hollow, Bell Lane – B2193 Southover High Street, Priory Street, Station Road.

The Order commences 30 September 2024 and lasts for a period of 18 months, or until works are completed, whichever is earlier. However, it is anticipated works will be undertaken as detailed below depending upon the weather conditions.

Phase 1: Friars Walk – from 19:00hrs to 02:00hrs between 30 September and 2 October 2024.

Phase 2: Lansdown Place – from 19:00hrs to 02:00hrs between 2 and 4 October 2024.

The East Sussex (B2123 The Drove, Village Way, Ridge Road, Park Street, Park Street North, South Street, East Street, Middle Street and Mill Street, Falmer) (Prohibition of Waiting and Prohibition of Driving) Traffic Regulation Order 2013

The following additional/amended fixture times below will have the above Order restrictions imposed on the roads as listed from 4 hours before the commencement of the event held at The American Express Community Stadium until up to 2 hours after the event has finished;

Park Street, South Street, East Street (Falmer Village South) in their entirety; Mill Street, Park Street North, Middle Street (Falmer Village North) in their entirety; and Ridge Road (Falmer Village North) from its junction with Middle Street in a northerly direction for a distance of 120 metres to its junction with Mill Street.

Wednesday 18 September 2024 BHAFC vs. Wolverhampton Wanderers (Carabao Cup) KO 7.45 pm This is an additional fixture.

Sunday 6 October 2024 BHAFC vs. Tottenham Hotspur KO 4.30 pm This is the rescheduled fixture originally to be held Saturday 5 October 2024 BHAFC vs. Tottenham Hotspur KO 3.00pm

Access for residents on these roads will not be affected. For matches played behind closed doors the restrictions stated above may not apply.
