(GREAT NORTH ROAD, WENTBRIDGE) (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER (NO 207) 2024
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the City of Wakefield has made an Order on traffic management grounds to remove diseased trees
which are a danger to public safety due to height and condition of the trees to be carried out as follows:-
ROAD TO BE CLOSED: Great North Road, Wentbridge from Westfield Lane to Moor Lane.
The Order shall also have the effect of closing any roads at their junctions the closed length of Great North Road.
ALTERNATIVE ROUTES: Signed diversion will be installed.
PERIOD OF CLOSURE: From and including 17th September 2024 to 19th September 2024, 22nd October 2024 to 24th October 2024 and 12th November 2024 to 14th November 2024 09.00 hours to 15.00 hours daily or until completion of the work, whichever is soonest.
Access to the premises on the closed length of road will be maintained whenever possible.
(GROVE ROAD, PONTEFRACT) (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC)
ORDER (NO 208) 2024
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the City of Wakefield has made an Order on traffic management grounds gas mains replacement to
be carried out as follows:-
ROAD TO BE CLOSED: Grove Road, Pontefract for approximately 145.14 metres. The Order shall also have the effect of closing any roads at their
junctions the closed length of Grove Road.
ALTERNATIVE ROUTES: Grove Road, Broadway, The Circle, East Drive, Chequerfield Lane, Baghill Lane, Midland Road, Station Lane, Friarwood
Lane & vice versa.
PERIOD OF CLOSURE: From and including 16th September 2024 to 11th October 2024 or until completion of the work, whichever is soonest.
Access to the premises on the closed length ` of road will be maintained whenever possible.
(WILLOW LANE, FEATHERSTONE) (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER (NO 209) 2024
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the City of Wakefield has made an Order on traffic management grounds to replace manhole frame
& cover to be carried out as follows:-
ROAD TO BE CLOSED: Willow Lane, Featherstone for approximately 30 metres. The Order shall also have the effect of closing any roads at their junctions the closed length of Willow Lane.
ALTERNATIVE ROUTES: B6134 Ackton Lane, Loscoe Lane, Havertop Lane & vice versa.
PERIOD OF CLOSURE: From and including 18th September 2024 at 19.00 hours to 23.00 hours or until completion of the work, whichever is soonest. Access to the premises on the closed length of road will be maintained whenever possible.
(STATION LANE, FEATHERSTONE) (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER (NO 211) 2024
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the City of Wakefield has made an Order on traffic management grounds to replace manhole frame
& cover to be carried out as follows:-
ROAD TO BE CLOSED: Station Lane, Featherstone for approximately 40 metres. The Order shall also have the effect of closing any roads at their junctions the closed length of Station Lane.
ALTERNATIVE ROUTES: A645 Wakefield Road, B6133 Common Side Lane, Green Lane & vice versa.
PERIOD OF CLOSURE: From and including 18th September 2024 at 21.00 hours to 19th September 2024 at 01.00 hours or until completion of the work, whichever is soonest.
Access to the premises on the closed length of road will be maintained whenever possible.
(SKINNER LANE, PONTEFRACT) (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC)
ORDER (NO 212) 2024
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the City of Wakefield has made an Order on traffic management grounds to replace manhole frame
& cover to be carried out as follows:-
ROAD TO BE CLOSED: Skinner Lane, Pontefract for approximately 30 metres. The Order shall also have the effect of closing any roads at their
junctions the closed length of Skinner Lane.
ALTERNATIVE ROUTES: Northgate, Finkle Street, Horsefair, Broad Lane, Southgate, Jubilee Way, Park Lane, Park Road, Castleford Interchange,
Park Road, De Lacy Way & vice versa.
PERIOD OF CLOSURE: From and including
19th September 2024 at 21.00 hours to 20th September 2024 at 01.00 hours or until completion of the work, whichever is soonest.
Access to the premises on the closed length of road will be maintained whenever possible.
(PONTEFRACT ROAD, THORPE AUDLIN) (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER (NO 215) 2024
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the City of Wakefield has made an Order on traffic management grounds to plane out & replace
existing bituminous surface and reinstall road markings and high friction surfacing to be carried out as follows:- ROAD TO BE CLOSED:
Pontefract Road, Thorpe Audlin between junction of A63 /B6474 Wentbridge Lane and junction of A639 and A621 Wrangbrook Lane. The Order shall
also have the effect of closing any roads at their junctions the closed length of Pontefract Road.
ALTERNATIVE ROUTES: A639 northbound traffic to be diverted at A639 / A6201 to follow A6201 west to A638 Doncaster Road to Ackworth to join
A628 Barnsley Road toward Pontefract to turn right onto A639 Hardwick Road, south onto A639 to closure point at Fox & Hounds. A639 southbound traffic to be reverse of the above.
PERIOD OF CLOSURE: From and including 16th September 2024 to 20th September 2024 overnight 19.00 hours to 06.00 hours, TM to be removed at end of each shift, or until completion of the work, whichever is soonest.
Access to the premises on the closed length of road will be maintained whenever possible.
(RAVEN LANE, SOUTH HIENDLEY) (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC)
ORDER (NO 216) 2024
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the City of Wakefield has made an Order on traffic management grounds for remedial works to rectify
defect in the carriageway to be carried out as follows:-
ROAD TO BE CLOSED: Raven Lane, South Hiendley from Slack Lane to Church Lane.
The Order shall also have the effect of closing any roads at their junctions the closed length of Raven Lane.
ALTERNATIVE ROUTES: Church Lane, Slack Lane & vice versa.
PERIOD OF CLOSURE: From and including 18th September 2024 to 19th September 2024 or until completion of the work, whichever is
soonest.
Access to the premises on the closed length of road will be maintained whenever possible.
(GREEN LANE, PONTEFRACT) (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC)
ORDER (NO 220) 2024
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the City of Wakefield intend to make an Order on traffic management grounds for gas mains replacement to be carried out as follows:-
ROAD TO BE CLOSED: Green Lane, Pontefract for approximately 160 metres. The Order shall also have the effect of closing any roads at their junctions the closed length of Green Lane.
ALTERNATIVE ROUTES: Access maintained for residents.
PERIOD OF CLOSURE: From and including 30th September 2024 to 11th October 2024 or until completion of the work, whichever is soonest.
Access to the premises on the closed length of road will be maintained whenever possible.
(NORTH BAILEYGATE, PONTEFRACT) (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC)
ORDER (NO 222) 2024
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the City of Wakefield intend to make an Order on traffic management grounds for construction of traffic island & road crossing to be carried out as follows:-
ROAD TO BE CLOSED: North Baileygate, Pontefract from Bailey Close to Bondgate.
The Order shall also have the effect of closing any roads at their junctions the closed length of North Baileygate.
ALTERNATIVE ROUTES: North Baileygate, Tanners Row, South Baileygate & vice versa.
PERIOD OF CLOSURE: From and including 27th September 2024 to 1st November 2024 or until completion of the work, whichever is soonest. Access to the premises on the closed length of road will be maintained whenever possible.
(WHINNEY LANE, STREETHOUSE) (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER (NO 224) 2024
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the City of Wakefield intend to make an Order on traffic management grounds to open cut medium
pressure & low pressure main to be carried out as follows:-
ROAD TO BE CLOSED: Whinney Lane, Streethouse from 101 Whinney Lane to the junction of George Street. The Order shall also have the effect of closing any roads at their junctions the closed length of Whinney Lane.
ALTERNATIVE ROUTES: Weeland Road, Cow Lane, High Street & vice versa.
PERIOD OF CLOSURE: From and including 3rd October 2024 at 11.00 hours to 30th October 2024 at 18.00 hours or until completion of the work, whichever is soonest. Access to the premises on the closed length of road will be maintained whenever possible.
(WHITWELL MAIN, STREETHOUSE) (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER (NO 225) 2024
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the City of Wakefield intend to make an Order on traffic management grounds to open cut medium
pressure & low pressure main to be carried out as follows:-
ROAD TO BE CLOSED: Whitwell Main, Streethouse at the junction of Whinney Lane. The Order shall also have the effect of closing any roads at their junctions the closed length of Whitwell Main.
ALTERNATIVE ROUTES: Thistle Drive, George Street, Whinney Lane & vice versa.
PERIOD OF CLOSURE: From and including 3rd October 2024 to 30th October 2024 or until completion of the work, whichever is soonest.
Access to the premises on the closed length of road will be maintained whenever possible.
