What is happening?

Notice is given that the Council of the City of Peterborough has made an Order pursuant to section 14(1)(a) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984:
The City of Peterborough Temporary Prohibition of Through Traffic Order 2024
– Station Road, Thorney. Ref: 25-100
The effect of which is to stop any vehicle from proceeding along the road known as Station Road, Thorney, as lies between Chestnut Drive and the junction with the B1167. The Council is satisfied that traffic should be prohibited due to proposed works being executed on the above
road. The alternative route for vehicles affected by this order is: B1167, A47 and vice versa.
The proposed order will come into force on the 16/09/2024 and will continue until the new electrical connection works have been completed or until the 15/09/2025, whichever is the earlier. Closure dates will be confirmed locally on site. It is anticipated that the works will take place between the 16/09/2024 and the 27/09/2024. The City of Peterborough Temporary Prohibition of Through Traffic Order –
Glinton 6 Section 2 Footpath (Welmore Road to A15), Glinton – 2024. Ref: 25-143
The effect of which is to stop any pedestrian or cyclist from proceeding along the footpath/cycle path known as Glinton 6 Section 2 Footpath (Welmore Road to A15), for its entire length. The Council is satisfied that pedestrians and cyclists should be prohibited due to works being proposed to be executed on the above footpath/cycle path. The alternative route for
pedestrians and cyclists affected by this order will be signed locally on site. The proposed Order will come into operation on 16/09/2024 and will continue until the installation of strategic pipeline works have been completed or until the 15/03/2025, whichever is the earlier. The effect of which is to stop any pedestrian or cyclist from proceeding along the footpath/cycle path known as 172 Norburn, Bretton, as lies between 172 and 175. The Council is satisfied that pedestrians and cyclists should be prohibited due to works being proposed to be executed on the above footpath/cycle path. The alternative route for pedestrians and cyclists
affected by this order is via: footpaths around Norburn. The proposed Order will come into operation on the 16/09/2024 and will continue until the water meter exchange works have been completed or until the 15/09/2025, whichever is the earlier. The City of Peterborough Temporary 40mph Speed Restriction Order 2024
– Langley Bush Road, Upton, Peterborough. Ref: 25-135
The effect of which is to impose a 40mph speed limit on the road known as Langley Bush Road, Upton as lies between the covered reservoir and King Street. The proposed Order will come into operation on the 16/09/2024 and will continue until the installation of new water meter works have been completed or until the 15/03/2025, whichever is the earlier.

The City of Peterborough Uffington Road, Barnack, Peterborough.
Temporary Prohibition of Through Traffic Order 2024. Ref: 25-136
The effect of which is to stop any vehicle from proceeding along the road known as Uffington Road, Barnack as lies between points 20 metres either side of Uffington level crossing.
The Council is satisfied that traffic should be prohibited due to proposed works being executed on the above road. The alternative route for vehicles affected by this order is via: Uffington Rd,
A1175 Main Rd, Tallington Rd, B1443 Barnack Rd, Station Rd, Bainton Rd and vice versa.
The proposed Order will come into force on the 17/09/2024 and will continue until the railway level crossing on track plant access/egress works have been completed or until the 16/09/2025, whichever is the earlier. Closure dates will be confirmed locally on site.

The alternative route for pedestrians and cyclists affected by this order is: London Road, St Margarets Road, Victoria Street, Wootton Avenue and vice versa. The proposed Order will come into operation on 23/09/2024 and will continue until the footpath resurfacing works have been completed or

The Council is satisfied that pedestrians and cyclists should be prohibited due to works being proposed to be executed on the above footpath/cycleway.
The alternative route for pedestrians and cyclists affected by this order is: St James Avenue, Portland Avenue, Shakespear Avenue and vice versa. The proposed Order will come into operation on 23/09/2024 and will continue until the utility repair and maintenance works have been completed or until the 22/03/2025, whichever is the earlier. It is anticipated that
the works will be carried out between 23/09/2024 and 04/10/2024. For further

The effect of which is to stop any vehicle from proceeding along the road known as 17 Helpston Road, Ailsworth, as lies between its junction with Main Street and Holme Close. The Council is satisfied that traffic should be prohibited due to proposed works being
executed on the above road. The alternative route for vehicles affected by this order is via:
Helpston Road, Main Street and vice versa. The proposed order will come into force on the 23/09/2024 and will continue until the new gas connection works have been completed or until the 22/09/2025, whichever is the earlier. Closure dates will be confirmed locally on site. It is anticipated that the works will take place between the 23/09/2024
