King’s Stables Road, Edinburgh - Traffic Restrictions for Fly Music Festival
What is happening?
THE CITY OF EDINBURGH COUNCIL
(FLY MUSIC FESTIVAL) (TEMPORARY ROAD RESTRICTION AND TRAFFIC REGULATION) ORDER 2024 – TEMP/24/136
The Council has made an order under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, the effect of which will be that for a temporary period, to facilitate the holding of Fly Music Festival, no person shall between 07:00hrs on 13/9/24 & 06:00hrs on 15/9/24; & between 18:00hrs on 15/9/24 & 23:59hrs on 25/9/24:
(a) cause or permit any motor vehicle to enter, proceed or wait in or on King’s Stables Rd, from the north-western kerbline of the vehicular access to the NCP car park, north-westwards to its jnct with Lothian Rd (except event vehicles);
(b) walk or cause or permit any person to walk on the footway on the nth-east side of King’s Stables Rd, from a point opposite the north-western kerbline of the vehicular access to the NCP car park, north-westwards for 200m; &
(c) except with the permission of a Parking Attendant, cause or permit any vehicle to wait or load onto or unload from any vehicle at any time on both sides of King’s Stables Rd, from the north-western kerbline of the vehicular access to the NCP car park, north-westwards to its jnct with Lothian Rd.
Existing restrictions will be suspended on the affected section of road described in (c). The alternative route for vehicular traffic with respect to the prohibition of motor vehicles is via King’s Stables Rd, West Port, Lady Lawson St, Spittal St & Castle Ter. The order shall have effect during the hours and on the dates specified above.
