What is happening?
ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 - SECTION 14 - KIRKLEES COUNCIL
(LUMB LANE/CASTLE HILL SIDE, ALMONDBURY, HUDDERSFIELD) (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER 2024
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the Borough of Kirklees by reason of works proposed to be carried out on or near the road has made an Order the effect of which will be that no person shall cause or permit any vehicle to proceed in that length of Lumb Lane/Castle Hill Side, Almondbury from its junction with Sharp Lane to its junction with Ashes Lane PROVIDED THAT such prohibition shall not extend to vehicles being used in connection with the works to be carried out on or near the closed length of road or to vehicles requiring access up to the point(s) of the closure.
Pedestrian access will be maintained at all times Alternative routes for vehicles affected by the closure will be available via Sharp Lane, Bankfoot Road, Woodsome Road, The Village, Honley Road, Hey Lane, Ashes Lane
It is intended that the closure will commence on Monday 16 September 2024 and will remain in force until 13 October 2024 (although it can remain in force for any period up to 18 months if necessary)
(CROSS STREET, CROSLAND MOOR, HUDDERSFIELD) (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER 2024
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the Borough of Kirklees by reason of works proposed to be carried out on or near the road has made an Order the effect of which will be that no person shall cause or permit any vehicle to proceed in that length of Cross Street, Crosland Moor from a point outside property no. 13 Cross Street to a point outside property no. 15 Cross Street PROVIDED THAT such prohibition shall not extend to vehicles being used in connection with the works to be carried out on or near the closed length of road or to vehicles requiring access up to the point(s) of the closure.
Pedestrian access will be maintained at all times
Alternative routes for vehicles affected by the closure will be available via Cross Street, Crosland Street, Mill Street, Row Street and vice versa
It is intended that the closure will commence on Monday 16 September 2024 and will remain in force until 20 September 2024 (although it can remain in force for any period up to 18 months if necessary)
(CROSLAND ROAD, LINDLEY, HUDDERSFIELD) (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER 2024
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the Borough of Kirklees by reason of works proposed to be carried out on or near the road has made an Order the effect of which will be that no person shall cause or permit any vehicle to proceed in that length of Crosland Road, Lindley from its junction with Lindley Moor Road to its junction with Cowrakes Road PROVIDED THAT such prohibition shall not extend to vehicles being used in connection with the works to be carried out on or near the closed length of road or to vehicles requiring access up to the point(s) of the closure.
Pedestrian access will be maintained at all times
Alternative routes for vehicles affected by the closure will be available via Lindley Moor Road, Weatherhill Road, Cowrakes Road and vice versa
It is intended that the closure will commence on Monday 16 September 2024 and will remain in force until 20 September 2024 between the hours of 18:30 to midnight each day (although it can remain in force for any period up to 18 months if necessary)
(RIDINGS LANE, GOLCAR, HUDDERSFIELD) (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) (NO 2) ORDER 2024
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the Borough of Kirklees by reason of works proposed to be carried out on or near the road Has made an Order the effect of which will be that no person shall cause or permit any vehicle to proceed in that length of Ridings Lane, Golcar from a point outside property no 40 Ridings Lane to a point approximately 20 metres PROVIDED THAT such prohibition shall not extend to vehicles being used in connection with the works to be carried out on or near the closed length of road or to vehicles requiring access up to the point(s) of the closure.
Pedestrian access will be maintained at all times Alternative routes for vehicles affected by the closure will be available via Ridings Lane, West End Road, Victoria Lane, Small Lane, Ridings Lane and vice versa
It is intended that the closure will operate on Monday 16th September 2024 for approximately one day (although this can remain in force for any period up to 18 months if necessary)
(YATES LANE, MILNSBRIDGE, HUDDERSFIELD) (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER 2024
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the Borough of Kirklees by reason of works proposed to be carried out on or near the road has made an Order the effect of which will be that no person shall cause or permit any vehicle to proceed in that length of Yates Lane, Milnsbridge from a point outside property no. 18 to its junction with Morley Street - right had lane closure only PROVIDED THAT such prohibition shall not extend to vehicles being used in connection with the works to be carried out on or near the closed length of road or to vehicles requiring access up to the point(s) of the closure.
Pedestrian access will be maintained at all times
Alternative routes for vehicles affected by the closure will be available via Morley Lane, Market Street, Whiteley Street, Shaw Lane, New Street, Manchester Road, Morley Lane
It is intended that the closure will commence on Sunday 15 September 2024 at 22:00 hours and will remain in force until 16 September 2024 at 06:00 hours (although it can remain in force for any period up to 18 months if necessary)
(BANK END LANE, CLAYTON WEST, HUDDERSFIELD) (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER 2024
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the Borough of Kirklees by reason of works proposed to be carried out on or near the road intends not less than seven days from the date of this Notice to make an Order the effect of which will be that no person shall cause or permit any vehicle to proceed in that length of Bank End Lane, Clayton West from a point approximately 60 metres South East from Bank End Lane to a point approximately 130 metres West from Bank End Lane PROVIDED THAT such prohibition shall not extend to vehicles being used in connection with the works to be carried out on or near the closed length of road or to vehicles requiring access up to the point(s) of the closure.

Alternative routes for vehicles affected by the closure will be available via Bank End Lane, Upperfield Lane, Churchfield Lane, Barnsley Road, Claycliffe Road, Barugh Green Road, Cawthorne Road, Lane Head Road, Wakefield Road, Long Lane, Scott Hill, High Street and vice versa
It is intended that the closure will commence on Tuesday 1 October 2024 and remain in force for until 2 October 2024 (although it can remain in force for any period up to 18 months if necessary)
(BAGDEN LANE, CLAYTON WEST, HUDDERSFIELD) (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER 2024
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the Borough of Kirklees by reason of works proposed to be carried out on or near the road intends not less than seven days from the date of this Notice to make an Order the effect of which will be that no person shall cause or permit any vehicle to proceed in that length of Bagden Lane, Clayton West from its junction with Pool Hill Lane/Brow Lane/Bagden Lane to its junction with Ackin Royd Barn PROVIDED THAT such prohibition shall not extend to vehicles being used in connection with the works to be carried out on or near the closed length of road or to vehicles requiring access up to the point(s) of the closure.

Alternative routes for vehicles affected by the closure will be available via Bagden Lane, Wheatley Hill Lane, Cuttlehurst, Wakefield Road, Miller Hill, Barnsley Road, Dry Hill Lane, Pool Hill Lane, Bagden Lane and vice versa
It is intended that the closure will commence on Tuesday 1 October 2024 and remain in force until 2 October 2024 (although it can remain in force for any period up to 18 months if necessary)
(DUNDAS STREET, HUDDERSFIELD) (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER 2024
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the Borough of Kirklees by reason of works proposed to be carried out on or near the road intends not less than seven days from the date of this Notice to make an Order the effect of which will be that no person shall cause or permit any vehicle to proceed in that length of Dundas Street, Huddersfield from a point outside property no. 19a Dundas Street to a point outside property no. 26a Dundas Street PROVIDED THAT such prohibition shall not extend to vehicles being used in connection with the works to be carried out on or near the closed length of road or to vehicles requiring access up to the point(s) of the closure.

Alternative routes for vehicles affected by the closure will be available via Dundas Street, Market Street, Castlegate, Trinity Street, Westgate, Upperhead Row-One way only
It is intended that the closure will commence on Saturday 28 September 2024 and remain in force until 29 September 2024 (although it can remain in force for any period up to 18 months if necessary)
(DOBB TOP ROAD, HOLMEBRIDGE, HOLMFIRTH) (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER 2024
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the Borough of Kirklees by reason of works proposed to be carried out on or near the road intends not less than seven days from the date of this Notice to make an Order the effect of which will be that no person shall cause or permit any vehicle to proceed in that length of Dobb Top Road, Holmebridge from a point outside Kilnbank House to a point outside property no. 85 Dobb Top Road PROVIDED THAT such prohibition shall not extend to vehicles being used in connection with the works to be carried out on or near the closed length of road or to vehicles requiring access up to the point(s) of the closure.
Pedestrian access will be maintained at all times
Alternative routes for vehicles affected by the closure will be available via Dobb Top Road, Smithy Lane, Bank Lane It is intended that the closure will operate on Monday 30 September 2024 for approximately one day only between the hours of 09:30 to 15:30 (although it can remain in force for any period up to 18 months if necessary)
(DALTON BANK ROAD, DALTON/COLNE BRIDGE, HUDDERSFIELD) (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) (NO. 2) ORDER 2024
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the Borough of Kirklees by reason of works proposed to be carried out on or near the road has made an Order the effect of which will be that no person shall cause or permit any vehicle to proceed in that length of Dalton Bank Road, Dalton/Colne Bridge from its junction with Jagger Lane to its junction with Bog Green Lane PROVIDED THAT such prohibition shall not extend to vehicles being used in connection with the works to be carried out on or near the closed length of road or to vehicles requiring access up to the point(s) of the closure.
Pedestrian access will be maintained at all times.
Alternative routes for vehicles affected by the closure will be available via the following routes:-
Diversion 1 - via Nettleton Road, Briggate, Long Lane, Broad Lane, A629 Wakefield Road, A62 Southgate, A62 Leeds Road, A62 Cooper Bridge Road, Cooper Bridge roundabout, A62 Cooper Bridge Road, Colne Bridge Road;
Diversion 2 - Colne Bridge Road, A62 Leeds Road, A62 Southgate, A62 Wakefield Road, Broad Lane, Long Lane, Briggate, Nettleton Road.
The closure which commenced on Tuesday 19 March 2024 to follow on from the expiry of the Emergency Notice dated 27 February 2024 had been further extended to remain in force until 30 September 2024. It has now been extended further to remain in force until 31 December 2024 (although it can remain in force for any period up to 18 months if necessary).
(PUBLIC FOOTPATH COL/83/10, SLAITHWAITE, HUDDERSFIELD) (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF USE) ORDER 2024
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the Borough of Kirklees by reason of works proposed to be carried out on or near the footpath has made an Order the effect of which will be that no person shall proceed in that length of Public Footpath COL/83/10, Slaithwaite, Huddersfield from its junction with New North Road to its junction with Public Footpath COL/82/20 PROVIDED THAT such prohibition shall not extend to persons carrying out the proposed works.
New North Road, Radcliffe Road, Public Footpath COL/82/70, Public Footpath COL/82/10 and vice versa
It is intended that the closure will commence on Saturday 14 September 2024 to follow on from the expiry of the Emergency Notice dated 24 August 2024 and will remain in force until 15 February 2025 (any further extension will require permission of the Secretary of State)
