What is happening?

SUFFOLK COUNTY COUNCIL ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984: SECTION 14

TEMPORARY CLOSURE OF THE U1047 FOUNDRY LANE, IPSWICH

Suffolk County Council Intends to make an order closing the U1047 Foundry Lane, Ipswich to facilitate the Installation of an electricity cable. Other co-ordinated works may also take place during this period.

Access will be open for pedestrians and cyclists.

The diversion route will be St Peters Dock, Bridge Street, Vernon Street, Bridge Street, Star Lane, Lower Orwell Street, Key Street, College Street and no vice versa.

It is intended that the closure will operate from 23/09/2024 - 28/09/2024 but, if necessary, the order may remain in force for 18 months (or longer if extended by the Minister). Enquiries should be made to Highway Safety Management. Tel: (01473) 554385.

TEMPORARY CLOSURE OF PART OF OAK LANE, IPSWICH

Suffolk County Council intends to make an order closing Oak Lane, Ipswich from Tower Street for 30 metres eastbound to facilitate works on underground cables. Other co-ordinated works may also take place during this period.

The diversion route will be Northgate Street, Tavern Street, Hatton Court and vice versa.

It is intended that the closure will operate from 23/09/2024 -25/09/2024 but, if necessary, the order may remain in force for 18 months (or longer if extended by the Minister). Enquiries should be made to Highway Safety Management. Tel: (01473) 554385.

TEMPORARY CLOSURE OF PART OF THE C320 IPSWICH ROAD, NACTON

Suffolk County Council intends to make an order closing the C320 Ipswich Road, Nacton from Hilltop to Levington Lane to facilitate the installation of fibre network. Other co-ordinated works may also take place during this period.

Access will be open for pedestrians and cyclists.

The diversion route will be Church Road, Road from the C320 to Church Road and vice versa.

It is intended that the closure will operate from 23/09/2024 -29/09/2024 but, if necessary, the order may remain in force for 18 months (or longer if extended by the Minister). Enquiries should be made to ABC Telecoms Limited. Tel: 07782 211465.

TEMPORARY CLOSURE OF PART OF THE U2114 PEPPERS WASH LANE, FRAMLINGHAM Suffolk County Council intends to make an order closing the U2114 Peppers Wash Lane, Framlingham from the junction with the B1119 for 170 metres northbound to facilitate replacing electrical cables. Other co-ordinated works may also take place during this period.

Access will be open for pedestrians and cyclists.

The diversion route will be the B1119, Rose Farm Lane and vice versa.

TEMPORARY CLOSURE OF PART OF THE C431 VIOLET HILL ROAD AND U4541 FAIRFIELD HILL, STOWMARKET

Suffolk County Council intends to make an order closing the:

  • C431 violet Hill Road, Stowmarket from Chandler Road to Recreation Road
  • U4541 Fairfield Hill, Stowmarket.

This is to facilitate carriageway resurfacing. Other co-ordinated works may also take place during this period. Access will be open for pedestrians and cyclists.

The diversion route will be the A1308, violet Hill Road, Recreation Road, the B1115, Childer Road and no vice versa.

It is intended that the closure will operate from 23/09/2024 -25/09/2024 from 9am - 3pm but, if necessary the order may remain in force for 18 months (or longer if extended by the Minister). Enquiries should be made to Suffolk Highways. Tel: 0345 606 6171.

TEMPORARY CLOSURE OF THE A1141 WATER STREET, LAVENHAM

Suffolk County Council intends to make an order closing the A1141 Water Street, Lavenham to facilitate excavation works and the clearance of blockages. Other co-ordinated works may also take place during this period.

Access will be open for pedestrians and cyclists.

The diversion route will be the A1141, the A1071, the A134, the A1141 and vice versa.

TEMPORARY CLOSURE OF PART OF THE U8703 YORK ROAD, SUDBURY

Suffolk County Council intends to make an order closing the U8703 York Road, Sudbury from no. 14 for 20 metres south westbound to facilitate repairs to a sluice valve. Other co-ordinated works may also take place during this period.

Access will be open for pedestrians and cyclists.

The diversion route will be Queens Road, Woodhall Road, the A131 and vice versa.

TEMPORARY CLOSURE OF PART OF THE U6710 CROWLAND ROAD, HAVERHILL

Suffolk County Council intends to make an order closing the U6710 Crowland Road, Haverhill from no. 29 for 30 metres north eastbound to facilitate highway repairs. Other co-ordinated works may also take place dunng this period.

Access will be open for pedestrians and cyclists.

The diversion route will be Burton End, Chivers Road, Chimswell Way, Park Road, the A1307 and vice versa.

It is intended that the closure will operate 24/09/2024 from 9.30am - 2.30pm but, if necessary, the order may remain in force for 18 months (or longer if extended by the Minister). Enquiries should be made to TBF Traffic. Tel: (01449) 490865.

TEMPORARY CLOSURE OF PART OF THE U3211 ORCHARD GROVE AND CAMBRIDGE ROAD, KESGRAVE

Suffolk County Council intends to make an order closing the following roads:

  • the U3211 Orchard Grove, Kesgrave
  • the U3211 Cambridge Road, Kesgrave from Orchard Grove to Oxford Road

This is to facilitate carriageway resurfacing. Other co-ordinated works may also take place during this period.

Access will be open for pedestrians and cyclists.

The diversion route will be Cambridge Road, the A1214, Edmonton Road and vice versa.

It is intended that the closure will operate from 24/09/2024 -26709/2024 from 8am - 6pm but, if necessary, the order may remain in force for 18 months (or longer if extended by the Minister). Enquiries should be made to Suffolk Highways. Tel: 0345 606 6171.

TEMPORARY CLOSURE OF PART OF THE B1118 STRADBROKE ROAD AND THE U5509 BATTLESEA GREEN, WINGFIELD AND STRADBROKE

Suffolk County Council intends to make an order closing the following roads:

  • the B1118 Stradbroke Road, Wingfield from Hildafred for 100 metres eastbound
  • the U5509 Battlesea Green, Stradbroke from the junction with the B1118 for 40 metres southbound

This is to facilitate overhead cabling works. Other co-ordinated works may also take place during this period.

Access will be open for pedestrians and cyclists.

The diversion route will be the B1118, the A140, theA143, the B1116, the B1117, the B1118 and vice versa.

Suffolk County Council intends to make an order closing the C433 Heron Hill, Onehouse from Swallows Cottage for 352 metres north westbound to facilitate pole testing work. Other co-ordinated works may also take place during this period.

The diversion route will be Lower Road, Stowmarket Road, Woolpit Road, Rattlesden Road, The Green. Green Road, The Street, Church Street, Health Road, The Heath, Borley Green, Shelland Green, Shelland Road, Haughley Road, Onehouse Road, Forest Road, Union Road and vice versa.

Suffolk County Council intends to make an order closing the U4725 Kirby Rise, Barham from Church Lane to no. 8 to facilitate gas field trial works. Other co-ordinated works may also take place during this period.

The diversion route will be Kirby Rise, Norwich Road, Church Lane and vice versa.

Suffolk County Council intends to make an order closing the U3330 Chapel Lane, Grundisburgh from Harvest view for 30 metres northbound to facilitate providing a new telecommunication service. Other co-ordinated works may also take place during this period.

The diversion route will be Chapel Road, Park Road, Ipswich Road, Rose Hill, The Street, Meeting Lane and vice versa.

Suffolk County Council intends to make an order closing the C347 Cliff Road, Felixstowe from the junction with Golf Road and Cliff Road for 30 metres eastbound to facilitate the installation of a new electricity supply. Other co-ordinated works may also take place during this period.

The diversion route will be Western Avenue and vice versa.

Suffolk County Council intends to make an order closing the U6327 Church Hill, Pakenham from St Marys Church car park entrance for 100 metres northbound to Church Green to facilitate a footway extension. Other co-ordinated works may also take place during this period.

Access will be open for pedestrians and cyclists.

The diversion route will be Church Hill, Pakenham Road, Norton Road, Ixworth Road, Thurston Road, Upper Town, The Street, Church Hill and vice versa.
