The Redbridge (Waiting, Loading, Stopping and Street Parking Places) Consolidation Order 2021 (Amendment No. *) Order 202*

(NOTE: This notice is about the introduction of part-time pedestrian zones during term-time [school streets] in streets adjacent to the following schools, Aldborough Primary School, Beal High School, Caterham High School, Coppice Primary School, Forest Academy, Goodmayes Primary School, King Solomon High School, Mossford Green Primary School, Oaks Park High School, Parkhill Infants and Junior Schools, Seven Kings School, South Park Primary School, and Wohl Ilford Jewish Primary School. Objections may be made - see paragraph 4).

1. NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the London Borough of Redbridge (the Council) proposes to make the above-mentioned Orders under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (as amended).

2. The general effect of the Orders will be to: -

(1) prohibit all motor vehicles except permit holders at certain times in Abbotswood Gardens, Bearing Close, Castleton Road, Caterham Avenue, Cheriton Avenue, Colenso Road, Coniston Gardens, Cottesmore Avenue, Derwent Gardens, Esher Road, Fairlop Road, Friars Close, Guildford Road, Harbourer Close, Harbourer Road, Heathcote Avenue, Holmwood Road, Huntsman Road, Leeds Road, Leyswood Drive, Lodge Hill, Lord Avenue, Mendip Road, Morrab Gardens, North Close, Northdown Gardens, St. Johns Road, Southdown Crescent, Starch House Lane, Stradbroke Grove, Sydney Road, Thorold Road2, Wards Road, Water Lane, Waterloo Road, Werneth Hall Road, Widecombe Gardens, and Woodford Bridge Road. Any vehicle that is in the affected road before the pedestrian and cycle zone commences will be permitted to leave.

(2) To change the one-way restriction on the north-south arm of Castleton Road from southbound to northbound.

(3) To introduce double yellow line junction protection at Agister Road, Abbotswood Gardens, Buxton Road, Babbacombe Gardens, Burrow Road, Cheriton Avenue, Caterham Avenue, Dunedin Road, Egerton Gardens, Fairlop Road, Felstead Avenue, Gilmore, Gardens, Herent Drive, Heathcote Avenue, Huntsman Road, HobartRoad, Keswick Gardens, Kirkland Avenue, Lamerton Road, Lessingham Avenue, Leyswood Drive, Morrab Gardens, Mossford Lane, Perth Road, Redbridge Lane East, St. Johns Road, Wards Road, Stafford Avenue, Stradbroke Grove, The Glade, The Lowe, Thorold Road, Water Lane, and Waterloo Road.

3. A copy of the proposed Orders, map-plans and documents giving detailed particulars of the proposals may be examined at the Customer Centre, Lynton House, 255-259 High Road, Ilford, IG1 1NY between 10am and 4pm Monday to Friday inclusive (except Bank or public holidays) until the last day of a period of 6 weeks beginning with the date the Orders are made, or the Council decides not to make the Orders.

4. All objections and other representations to the proposed Orders must be made in writing stating the grounds on which they are made and should be sent to School Streets Team, 2nd Floor (Front), Lynton House, 255-259 High Road, Ilford, IG1 1NY (quoting reference RED1029) or by email to: schoolstreetsdesign@redbridge.gov.uk by noon on 21 October 2024. Any objection may be communicated to, or seen by, other persons who may have an interest in the matter.
