Ollerton Road And Oxton Road - Temporary Prohibition of Driving For Carriageway Resurfacing Works

What is happening?

THE NOTTINGHAMSHIRE COUNTY COUNCIL
(A614 OLLERTON ROAD AND B6386 OXTON ROAD, ARNOLD)
(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) ORDER 2024 (G24-122)

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Nottinghamshire County Council has made an Order, under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, in respect of roads at Arnold in the Borough of Gedling.

The effects of the Order will be:

1. Vehicles are prohibited from proceeding in the following length of road.

a. A614 Ollerton Road, Arnold - From its junction with Burntstump Hill, to its junction with Lime Lane. Corporate Director - Place

b. B6386 Oxton Road, Arnold - From its junction with A614 Ollerton Road, for a distance of 520 metres in a North Easterly Direction.

2. Vehicles are prohibited from waiting, loading and unloading (Both Sides) (From 20:00 Hours until 06:00 Hours) in the following length of road.

a. A614 Ollerton Road, Arnold - From its junction with Burntstump Hill, to its junction with Lime Lane.

b. B6386 Oxton Road, Arnold - From its junction with A614 Ollerton Road, for a distance of 520 metres in a North Easterly Direction.

3. All existing permanent restrictions will be temporarily suspended as required.

4. The restrictions specified above shall only be in effect when the signs are in place.

IT IS INTENDED that the prohibitions respecting the above road or roads will apply as follows: From 20:00 Hours, Monday 16th September 2024 Until 06:00 Hours, Saturday 21st September 2024

AND NOTICE IS HEREBY FURTHER GIVEN that during the period of restriction the alternative route available will be:

a. A60 Mansfield Road - A617 Sherwood Way East - A617 Rainworth bypass - A614 Old Rufford Road and Vice Versa

b. Whinbush Lane - A614 Old Rufford Road and Vice Versa

The Order will come into force on Monday 16th September 2024 and any prohibition in it shall apply on that day and any subsequent day when necessary to enable works to be carried out.

The Order shall continue in force until the works are completed (within a maximum period of 18 months).

The prohibition is required to enable Via East Midlands on behalf of Nottinghamshire County Council to carry out Carriageway Resurfacing Works;
