What is happening?

CITY OF BRISTOL

(NOVERS ROAD, KNOWLE, BRISTOL) (TEMPORARY RESTRICTION OF WAITING) ORDER 2024
NOTICE is hereby given that the City Council of Bristol in pursuance of the provisions of section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended have made an Order the effect of which is to restrict, temporarily, any vehicle waiting between the hours of 7.00 a.m. and 6.00 p.m. on Monday to Friday (inclusive) in that length of Novers Road, both sides, from its south easternmost kerbline with Novers Crescent south eastwards for 31 metres.
The Order was required because works are being or are proposed to be executed on or near the road and becomes operative from 20th September 2024 for a maximum period of eighteen months. However, the restriction may not be implemented for the whole of the period, but only as necessitated by the works (which are anticipated to take place between 20th September 2024 and 30th January 2026).

(CHERRY LANE, KINGSDOWN, BRISTOL) (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF USE BY VEHICLES) (TEMPORARY SUSPENSION OF ONE WAY TRAFFIC) ORDER 2024
NOTICE is hereby given that the City Council of Bristol in pursuance of the provisions of section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended have made an Order the effect of which is:-

1. to close, temporarily, to vehicles that length of Cherry Lane which extends from Barton Street to Stokes Croft; and
2. to suspend, temporarily, when appropriate signs are covered, the existing one way traffic working in a north easterly direction in Cherry Lane so as to allow access and egress for works vehicles.
Exemption will be provided in the Order for vehicles requiring necessary access to premises situated on, adjacent to or accessible only from the closed length.
The Order was required because works are being or are proposed to be executed on or near the road and becomes operative from 29th September 2024 for a maximum period of eighteen months. ALTERNATIVE ROUTE: Barton Street, Charles Street, King Square Avenue

(HIGHBURY ROAD, BEDMINSTER, BRISTOL) (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF USE BY VEHICLES) (TEMPORARY SUSPENSION OF ONE WAY TRAFFIC) ORDER 2024
NOTICE is hereby given that the City Council of Bristol in pursuance of the provisions of section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended have made an Order the effect of which is:-

1. to close, temporarily, to vehicles that length of Highbury Road which extends from the common boundary line of No.14 and No.16 Highbury Road to Parson Street; and
2. to suspend, temporarily, when appropriate signs are covered, the existing one way traffic working in a north easterly direction in Highbury Road, so as to allow access and egress for works vehicles and give effect to the alternative route as a consequence of item 1. above.
Exemption will be provided in the Order for vehicles requiring necessary access to premises situated on, adjacent to or accessible only from that closed length of road as specified above.
The Order was required because works are being or are proposed to be executed on or near the road and becomes operative from 23rd September 2024 for a maximum period of eighteen months. However, the restrictions may not be implemented for the whole of the period, but only as necessitated by the works (which are anticipated to take place between 23rd September 2024 and 26th September 2024).
ALTERNATIVE ROUTE: Parson Street, Bedminster Road, Marksbury Road, Highbury Road (part unaffected)
