U6704 Alexandra Road - Temporary Road Closure

U6704 ALEXANDRA ROAD ASHINGTON
(TEMPORARY ROAD CLOSURE) ORDER 2024

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Northumberland County Council have made an Order to prohibit the use by vehicular traffic on that section of the U6704 Alexandra Road Ashington from its junction with U6534 Alexandra Road To Moorhouse Lane heading north for a distance of 40 metres in the County of Northumberland.
The Order is to be effective from the 18th September 2024 until the 18th March 2025.
It is expected that the road will only be closed on the 18th September 2024 between the hours of 09:30 and 15:00 during this period; however, the order will remain in place until 18th March 2025.
The alternative route for vehicular traffic will be via the Alexandra Road, Sixth Avenue, Hawthorn Road, Woodhorn Road, Alexandra Road and vice versa.

The closure has been requested by Northumberland County Council to complete carriageway resurfacing works. In order to minimise future disruption, other contractors may be undertaking works throughout the duration of this Order.
