U9529 ASTLEY GARDENS SEATON SLUICE
(TEMPORARY ROAD CLOSURE) ORDER 2024
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Northumberland County Council have made an Order to prohibit the use by vehicular traffic on that section of the U9529 Astley Gardens Seaton Sluice from its junction with Derwent Road heading north for a distance of 30 metres in the County of Northumberland.
The Order is to be effective from the 23rd September 2024 until the 11th October 2024.
It is expected that the road will only be closed from the 23rd September 2024 until the 27th September 2024 and that the road will be closed at all times during this period; however, the order will remain in place until 11th October 2024.
The alternative route for vehicular traffic will be via Astley Gardens, St. Ronan’s Drive and vice-versa.

The closure has been requested by Northumbrian Water Ltd to replace a manhole frame and cover in the carriageway. In order to minimise future disruption, other contractors may be undertaking works throughout the duration of this Order.
