ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984
LANCASHIRE COUNTY COUNCIL
(BEACON FELL COUNRTY PARK VISITORS CENTRE MAIN CAR PARK, BEACON FELL ROAD, PRESTON, PRESTON CITY) (OFF STREET PARKING PLACES) ORDER 2024
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that on 11 September 2024 Lancashire County Council made the above Order under Sections 32 and 35 to the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, the effect of which will be to:
1. Designate the land situated at grid reference 356472:442680, measuring approximately 33.5 by 20 metres known as Main Top Parking Area, off Beacon Fell Road, Preston, as being an off street car parking place for the purposes of Section 32 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984. The land hereby being known as the "Beacon Fell Visitors Centre Main Top Parking Area" and as set out in the above Order as the land edged red.
2. Designate the land situated at grid reference 356437:442646, measuring approximately 62 by 15.5 metres known as Lower Parking Area, off Beacon Fell Road, Preston, as being an off street car parking place for the purposes of Section 32 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984. This land hereby being known as "Beacon Fell Visitors Centre Lower Parking Area" and as set out in the above Order as the land edged blue.
3. Designate the land situated at grid reference 356374:442743, measuring approximately 63.5 by 17 metres known as Rear Top Parking Area, off Beacon Fell Road, Preston, as being an off street car parking place for the purposes of Section 32 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984. This land hereby being known as "Beacon Fell Visitors Centre Rear Top Parking Area" and as set out in the above Order as the land edged Green.
4. Introduce a tariff of pay and display parking charges as set out in the Schedule to this notice for the use of these off street parking places.
5. Introduce 7 disabled person's parking spaces (4 of which will be situated on Main Top Parking Area, and 3 of which will be situated on Rear Top Parking Area) in these off street parking places.

This Order will come into force on the 16 September 2024. A copy of the Order, and all other relevant documents may be inspected during normal office hours at the offices of Preston City Council, PO Box 10, Town Hall, Lancaster Road, Preston, PR1 2RL, and at the offices of The Director of Law and Governance, Lancashire County Council, County Hall, PO Box 100, Preston PR1 0LD, and on Lancashire County Councils Website http://www.lancashire.gov.uk/roads-parking-and-travel/roads/roadworks-and-traffic-regulation-orders/permanent.aspx, quoting ref: LSG4/894.12151/AFR. Any person wishing to question the validity of the Order or of any of its provisions on the grounds that it or they are not within the powers conferred by the Act, or that any requirement of the Act or of any instrument made under the Act has not been complied with, that person may, within 6 weeks from the date on which the order is made, apply for the purpose to the High Court.
