Sanderson Road - Prohibition Vehicular Traffic For Works
What is happening?
CITY OF NEWCASTLE UPON TYNE
(SANDERSON ROAD) TEMPORARY TRAFFIC REGULATION ORDER 2024
1. NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the City of Newcastle upon Tyne intend, not less than seven days from the date of this Notice, to make an Order under Section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicular traffic from proceeding on Sanderson Road between its junctions with Osborne Road and Acorn Road.
2. The alternative route for Osborne Road and Acorn Road will be signed on site as required.
3. The Order is required to allow works to be carried out on or near the highway.
4. Exemptions will be provided for vehicles engaged in the works and police, fire brigade and ambulance vehicles on emergency call.
5. The Order will come into operation on 27th November 2024 and will continue, as and when the relevant traffic signs are displayed, up to 27th March 2025 or until the proposed works are completed, whichever is the earlier. (However, it is anticipated that the closure will only be required for a maximum of 10 days between the hours of 09:30 - 15:30 within the period the Order is made for).
