HERTFORDSHIRE COUNTY COUNCIL:

(TEMPORARY CLOSING OF VARIOUS ROADS IN BRAUGHING, DASSELS, GREAT MUNDEN, BRAMFIELD, WATTON AT STONE AND WALKERN) ORDER 2024

NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council intends to make an Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from using the following lengths of roads (“the Roads”), except for access:-

1. that length of C32 (unnamed road), Braughing from its junction with A10 (unnamed road) north eastwards, south eastwards, north eastwards and south eastwards to its junction with B1368 Hay Street, a distance of approximately 1208m.

An alternative route will be via A10 (unnamed road) and B1368 (Buntingford Road/Wickham Hill/Station Road/Green End/Hay Street).

2. that length of B1368 (unnamed road), Hare Street/B1368 Dassels Hill, Dassels and B1368 (Dassels/Hay Street/Green End), Braughing from its junction with Worsted Lane south eastwards to its junction with Gravelly Lane, a distance of approximately 3700m.

An alternative route will be via B1368 (unnamed road), B1038 (unnamed road/Hare Street Road), Station Road, London Road, A10 (unnamed road) and B1368 (Buntingford Road/Wickham Hill/Station Road/Green End).

3. that length of Stockalls Lane, Great Munden from its junction with C16 (unnamed road) south eastwards to its junction with C95 (unnamed road), a distance of approximately 2053m. An alternative route will be via C16 (unnamed road), Munden Road, Mill Lane and C95 (unnamed road).

4. that length of Turners Close, Bramfield from its junction with Winding Shott north eastwards for its entire length. There is no alternative route available for vehicles when the works are being carried out. However vehicular access to properties in this road will be maintained whenever possible throughout the duration of the works.

5. that length of Walkern Road, Watton at Stone/Benington Road, Walkern from a point 426m north west of its junction with High Street north westwards and north eastwards to its junction with Clay End Road, a distance of approximately 4845m.

An alternative route will be via Walkern Road, High Street, A602 (Hooks Cross/Broadhall Way/Monkswood Way), A1155 (St Georges Way/Fairlands Way), B1037 (Fairlands Way/Stevenage Road), High Street and Benington Road.

The Order is needed because works are proposed to be executed on or near the Roads.

If the Order is made, it shall come into force on 30 September 2024 for a period of up to 18 months. However, the restrictions specified shall only take effect at the times indicated by signs on or near the Roads.

(TEMPORARY CLOSING OF RUSSELLS RIDE, CHESHUNT) ORDER 2024

NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council intends to make an Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from using that length of Russells Ride, Cheshunt from its junction with Steward Close south westwards for a distance of approximately 99m (“the Road”).

An alternative route will be via Russells Ride, Windmill Lane, B176 (Turners Hill/Crossbrook Street) and Russells Ride.

The Order is needed because utility service works are proposed to be executed on or near the Road.

If the Order is made, it shall come into force on 3 October 2024 for a period of up to 18 months. However, the restrictions specified shall only take effect at the times indicated by signs on or near the Road.

NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council intends to make an Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from using the following lengths of roads (“the Roads”), except for access:-

1. that length of Ford Street, Braughing from its junction with B1368 Station Road north eastwards to its junction with Maltings Lane, a distance of approximately 447m. An alternative route will be via B1368 (Green End/Hay Street/Dassels/Dassels Hill/unnamed road), Worsted Lane, The Street, The Causeway, Patient End, Braughing Road, Pelham Road and The Street.

2. that length of Maltings Lane, Braughing from its junction with B1368 Green End south eastwards to its junctions with Ford Street, a distance of approximately 207m.

An alternative route will be via B1368 (Green End/Hay Street/Dassels/Dassels Hill/unnamed road), Worsted Lane, The Street, The Causeway, Patient End, Braughing Road, Pelham Road and The Street.

The Order is needed because gas main works are proposed to be executed on or near the Roads.

If the Order is made, it shall come into force on 30 September 2024 for a period of up to 18 months. However, the restrictions specified shall only take effect at the times indicated by signs on or near the Roads.

(TEMPORARY CLOSING AND TEMPORARY WAITING RESTRICTIONS IN VARIOUS ROADS IN BRICKENDON, HERTFORD, BRAUGHING, PUCKERIDGE, WELLPOND GREEN, STANDON, NASTY, WESTMILL, BRAMFIELD, WATTON AT STONE, BUNTINGFORD, WALKERN, BENINGTON, WHEMPSTEAD, SACOMBE, DANE END, HARE STREET AND DASSELS) ORDER 2024

NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council intends to make an Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from using the following lengths of roads (“the Roads”), except for access and to prohibit all vehicles from waiting at any time on both sides of these lengths of Roads whilst works are in progress:-

1. that length of Mangrove Lane, Brickendon/Mangrove Road, Hertford from its junction with Monks Green Lane north eastwards, north westwards, south westwards and north westwards to its junction with Oak Grove, a distance of approximately 2890m.

An alternative route will be via Mangrove Lane, Goose Green Lord Street, Lord Street, Taverners Way, Pauls Lane, Amwell Street, A1170 Amwell Street, B1197 (Hertford Road/London Road), A414 London Road and Mangrove Road.

2. that length of Hertingfordbury Road, Hertford from a point 90m south east of its junction with the A414 Hertingfordbury Road/Thieves Lane South roundabout north eastwards for its entire length.

There is no alternative route available for vehicles when the works are being carried out. However vehicular access to properties in this road will be maintained whenever possible throughout the duration of the works.

3. that length of Ford Street, Braughing from its junction with B1368 Green End north eastwards to its junction with The Street, a distance of approximately 484m.

An alternative route will be via B1368 (Green End/Hay Street/Dassels Hill/Dassels/unnamed road), Worsted Lane, The Street, The Causeway, Patient End, Braughing Road, Pelham Road and The Street.

4. that length of Warren Lane, Braughing from its junction with Ford Street south eastwards for a distance of approximately 1702m.

An alternative route will be via Ford Street, B1368 (Station Road/Wickham Hill/Buntingford Road), A10 Puckeridge Bypass, A120 (Standon Hill/Kents Lane/Stortford Road) and Warren Lane.

5. that length of Station Road, Puckeridge from its junction with High Street south eastwards to its junction with South Road, a distance of approximately 325m.

An alternative route will be via High Street, Buntingford Road, B1368 Buntingford Road, A10 Puckeridge Bypass, A120 Standon Hill and South Road.

6. that length of 3U40 (unnamed road), Wellpond Green from its junction with Hadham Road north eastwards, south eastwards, north eastwards and south eastwards to its junction with Pigs Green, a distance of approximately 1456m. An alternative route will be via Hadham Road, High Street, A120 (Stortford Road/Standon Road), Standon Road, The Ash, The Ford and 3U40 (unnamed road).

7. that length of Bromley Lane, Standon from its junction with Hadham Road south eastwards for a distance of approximately 1268m. An alternative route will be via Hadham Road, High Street, A120 (Stortford Road/Standon Road), Standon Road, The Ash, The Ford, C15 (unnamed road) and Bromley Lane.

8. that length of C16 Nasty, Nasty from its junction with Cherry Green Lane south eastwards and south westwards to its junction with C16 Great Munden, a distance of approximately 844m. An alternative route will be via C16 (unnamed road), Station Hill, A10 (unnamed road/Puckeridge Bypass), Mentley Lane West and C16 Great Munden.

9. that length of Station Hill, Westmill from its junction with A10 (unnamed road) north eastwards to its junction with C16 (unnamed road), a distance of approximately 383m.

An alternative route will be via A10 (unnamed road/Puckeridge Bypass), Mentley Lane West and C16 (Great Munden/Nasty/unnamed road).

10. that length of Main Road, Bramfield from its junction with Holly Grove Road south eastwards, north eastwards and south eastwards for a distance of approximately 495m.

An alternative route will be via Main Road, Winding Shott, Bramfield Road, Burnham Green Road, Orchard Road, Upper Green, Upper Green Road, Lower Green, School Lane, Churchfield Road, B1000 (Hertford Road/Welwyn Road), A119 North Road, Bramfield Road, Tattle Hill and Main Road.

11. that length of Ware Road, Watton at Stone from its junction with High Street eastwards to its junction with the A602 Ware Road/A602 Watton at Stone Bypass roundabout, a distance of approximately 348m. An alternative route will be via High Street and A602 Watton at Stone Bypass.

12. that length of Ermine Street, Buntingford from its northernmost junction with A10 Buntingford Bypass south eastwards and south westwards for a distance of approximately 292m. An alternative route will be via A10 Buntingford Bypass and Ermine Street.

13. that length of Benington Road, Walkern from its junction with Walkern Road north westwards, north eastwards and north westwards to its junction with High Street, a distance of approximately 904m. An alternative route will be via Walkern Road, High Street, A602 (Hooks Cross/Broadhall Way/Monkswood Way), A1155 (St Georges Way/Fairlands Way), B1037 (Fairlands Way/Stevenage Road) and High Street.

14. that length of Walkern Road, Watton at Stone from its junction with Church Green south eastwards to its junction with 3U9 (unnamed road), a distance of approximately 1277m.

An alternative route will be via Church Green, Town Lane, Whempstead Road, A602 Ware Road, Ware Road, High Street and Walkern Road.

15. that length of Town Lane/Whempstead Road, Benington from its junction with Church Green south eastwards, eastwards and south eastwards to its junction with Hebing End, a distance of approximately 1600m. An alternative route will be via Church Green, Walkern Road, High Street, Ware Road, A602 Ware Road and Whempstead Road.

16. that length of Whempstead Road, Whempstead/Benington from its junction with Whempstead Lane north westwards, south westwards and north westwards to its junction with Hebing End, a distance of approximately 2419m. An alternative route will be via Whempstead Road, A602 Ware Road, Ware Road, High Street, Walkern Road, Church Green, Town Lane and Whempstead Road.

17. that length of Sacombe Pound, Sacombe/Munden Road, Dane End from its junction with Sacombe Green Road north eastwards, north westwards and north eastwards to its junction with Whempstead Lane, a distance of approximately 1729m. An alternative route will be via Sacombe Pound, A602 Tonwell Bypass, Whempstead Road and Whempstead Lane.

18. that length of B1368 (unnamed road), Hare Street/B1368 Dassels Hill, Dassels and B1368 (Dassels/Hay Street), Braughing from its junction with Worsted Lane south eastwards, south westwards and southwards to its junction with C32 (unnamed road), a distance of approximately 2980m.

An alternative route will be via B1368 (unnamed road), B1038 (unnamed road/Hare Street Road/High Street/Baldock Road), A10 (Buntingford Bypass/unnamed road) and B1368 (Buntingford Road/Wickham Hill/Station Road/Green End/Hay Street).

The Order is needed because works are proposed to be executed on or near the Roads.

(TEMPORARY CLOSING OF 3U31 (UNNAMED ROAD), HAULTWICK) ORDER 2024

NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council intends to make an Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from using that length of 3U31 (unnamed road), Haultwick from its junction with Green End north eastwards and north westwards to its junction with Wentworth Cottages, a distance of approximately 1037m (“the Road”), except for access.

An alternative route will be via Green End, Munden Road, Giffords Lane and 3U31 (unnamed road).

The Order is needed because utility service works are proposed to be executed on or near the Road.

If the Order is made, it shall come into force on 3 October 2024 for a period of up to 18 months. However, the restrictions specified shall only take effect at the times indicated by signs on or near the Road.

(TEMPORARY CLOSING AND TEMPORARY WAITING RESTRICTIONS IN VARIOUS ROADS IN WESTMILL, DATCHWORTH, HERTFORD AND CROMER) ORDER 2024

NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council has made the above Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from using the following lengths of roads (“the Roads”), except for access and to prohibit all vehicles from waiting at any time on both sides of these lengths of Roads whilst works are in progress:-

1. that length of A602 Westmill Road, Westmill from its junction with the A10 (unnamed road)/B1001 Westmill Road roundabout north westwards to its junction with the Anchor Lane/B158 Wadesmill Road roundabout, a distance of approximately 1619m.

An alternative route will be via A10 (unnamed road), A414 (Rush Green Link/ London Road/Gascoyne Way/Hertingfordbury Road/Cole Green Bypass/Hatfield Road/Hertford Road/Mount Pleasant Lane/Great North Road), the A1(M) and A602 (Broadhall Way/Hooks Cross/Watton at Stone Bypass/Ware Road/ Tonwell Bypass) or via A602 (Tonwell Bypass/Ware Road/Watton at Stone Bypass/Hooks Cross/Broadhall Way), the A1(M), A414 (Great North Road/ Hertford Road/Hatfield Road/Cole Green Bypass/Hertingfordbury Road/ Gascoyne Way/London Road/Rush Green Link) and A10 (unnamed road) or via A10 (unnamed road), A414 (Rush Green Link/London Road/Gascoyne Way/Hertingfordbury Lane/Cole Green Bypass/Hatfield Road/Hertford Road), A1000 (Hertford Road/Chequers/Broadwater Road/Bessemer Road/Mundells/ Bessemer Road/Hertford Road/Welwyn Bypass Road), B197 (Great North Road/Mardley Hill/London Road/Stevenage Road/London Road/Monkswood Way) and A602 (Broadhall Way/Hooks Cross/Watton at Stone Bypass/Ware Road/Tonwell Bypass).

2. that length of Bury Lane, Datchworth from its junction with Brookbridge Lane north westwards, north eastwards and north westwards to its junction with Baines Lane, a distance of approximately 1028m. An alternative route will be via Brookbridge Lane, Datchworth Green, Mardleybury Road, B197 London Road, Swangleys Lane and Baines Lane.

3. that length of Nelson Street, Hertford from its junction with Wellington Street south westwards to its junction with Port Vale, a distance of approximately 90m. An alternative route will be via Wellington Street and Molewood Road.

4. that length of B1037 White Hill, Cromer from its junction with C14 (unnamed road) north eastwards to its junction with B1037 (unnamed road), a distance of approximately 608m.

An alternative route will be via B1037 (White Hill/High Street/Stevenage Road/Fairlands Way), A1155 Verity Way, A1072 Martins Way, A602 Hitchin Road, B197 (Graveley Road/High Street/Jacks Hill), A505 Baldock Bypass, B197 (London Road/High Street), B656 Whitehorse Street, A507 (Clothall Road/unnamed road/Baldock Road) and B1037 (unnamed road).

The Order is needed because works are proposed to be executed on or near the Roads.

The Order has been made and shall come into force on 18 September 2024 for a period of up to 18 months. However, the restrictions specified shall only take effect at the times indicated by signs on or near the Roads.

(TEMPORARY CLOSING OF OLD NAZEING ROAD, BROXBOURNE) ORDER 2024

NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council has made the above Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from using that length of Old Nazeing Road, Broxbourne from its northernmost junction with B194 New Nazeing Road south westwards and south eastwards for a distance of approximately 267m (“the Road”), except for access.

An alternative route will be via B194 New Nazeing Road and Old Nazeing Road.

ADDITIONALLY all vehicular traffic is prohibited from making a right turn manoeuvre from B194 New Nazeing Road into Old Nazeing Road, Broxbourne whilst works are in progress.

An alternative route will be via B194 New Nazeing Road and Old Nazeing Road.

The Order is needed because utility works are proposed to be executed on or near the Road.

The Order has been made and shall come into force on 16 September 2024 for a period of up to 18 months. However, the restrictions specified shall only take effect at the times indicated by signs on or near the Road.

(TEMPORARY CLOSING OF THE FOOTWAY SITUATED ON THE SOUTH SIDE OF A121 ELEANOR CROSS ROAD, WALTHAM CROSS) ORDER 2024

NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council has made the above Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all pedestrians from using the footway situated on the south side of A121 Eleanor Cross Road, Waltham Cross from a point 98m north east of its junction with Longcroft Drive north eastwards for a distance of approximately 30m (“the Footway”).

An alternative route will be via the footway situated on the south side of A121 Eleanor Cross Road, the footway situated on the east side of Longcroft Drive and the footway situated on the north side of Queens Way.

The Order is needed because utility works are proposed to be executed on or near the Footway.

The Order has been made and shall come into force on 19 September 2024 for a period of up to 18 months. However, the restrictions specified shall only take effect at the times indicated by signs on or near the Footway.

(TEMPORARY CLOSING AND TEMPORARY WAITING RESTRICTIONS IN WESTLEA CLOSE, WORMLEY) ORDER 2024

NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council has made the above Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from using that length of Westlea Close, Wormley from its junction with Westlea Road south westwards for its entire length (“the Road”), except for access.

There is no alternative route available for vehicles when the works are being carried out. However vehicular access to properties in this road will be maintained whenever possible throughout the duration of the works.

ADDITIONALLY all vehicles are prohibited from waiting at any time on both sides of this length of the Road whilst works are in progress.

The Order is needed because works are proposed to be executed on or near the Road.

NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council has made the above Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from using that length of Silver Street, Goffs Oak from a point in line with the eastern boundary of No.3 Silver Street south westwards for a distance of approximately 122m (“the Road”).

An alternative route will be via Silver Street, Halstead Hill, B156 (Goffs Lane/Cuffley Hill), Jones Road and Silver Street.

The Order is needed because utility service works are proposed to be executed on or near the Road.

The Order has been made and shall come into force on 17 September 2024 for a period of up to 18 months. However, the restrictions specified shall only take effect at the times indicated by signs on or near the Road.

(TEMPORARY CLOSING OF VICARAGE CAUSEWAY, HERTFORD HEATH) ORDER 2024

NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council has made the above Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from using that length of Vicarage Causeway, Hertford Heath from its junction with Hagsdell Lane eastwards for a distance of approximately 37m (“the Road”).

An alternative route will be via Vicarage Causeway, B1197 London Road, Church Hill and Vicarage Causeway.

The Order is needed because utility service works are proposed to be executed on or near the Road.

The Order has been made and shall come into force on 16 September 2024 for a period of up to 18 months. However, the restrictions specified shall only take effect at the times indicated by signs on or near the Road.

THE HERTFORDSHIRE (BENGEO STREET, BENGEO) (RESTRICTION OF WAITING) ORDER 2024

NOTICE is given that the Hertfordshire County Council in order to improve road safety proposes under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 to introduce new waiting restrictions on parts of Bengeo Street, Bengeo as specified in the Schedule to this Notice.

Documents giving more detailed particulars of the proposals may be viewed from 12 September 2024 during office hours, at Main Reception, County Hall, Hertford, or on-line at www.hertfordshire.gov.uk/trafficorders by selecting East Herts and looking at Ref: EH01424.
