What is happening?

Temporary Closure of Valley Road, Tarrant Keyneston

DORSET COUNCIL intend, not less than seven days from the date of this notice to make an Order under Section 14 [1] of the Road Traffic Regulations Act 1984, as amended. All vehicles will be prohibited from proceeding along Valley Road, Tarrant Keyneston in its entirety. The order is needed in order to comply with health and safety regulations, which require the provision of safe working areas and to minimise the likelihood of danger to highway users. It will come into operation on 7 October 2024 and will remain in force for 18 months, however it is anticipated that the works will be completed by 18 October 2024. Access will be maintained.

This Order will enable Wessex Internet, safe access to carry out fibre installation works.

A locally signed diversion route will be put in place to enable traffic to travel around the closed sections.

Temporary Closure of B3071, West Lulworth and Coombe Keynes

DORSET COUNCIL has made an Order under Section 14 [1] of the Road Traffic Regulations Act 1984, as amended. All vehicles will be prohibited from proceeding along B3071 from the junction with The Triangle, West Lulworth to the junction with C48, Coombe Keynes (in both directions), a distance of approximately 4020 metres. The Order is needed in order to comply with health and safety regulations which require the provision of safe working areas and to minimise the likelihood of danger to highway users. It will come into operation between 09:00 until 16:00 on 1 October 2024 and will remain in force for 18 months and can be extended with the approval of the Secretary of State for Transport if necessary; however, it is anticipated that the works will be completed by 9 October 2024. The road will be reopened overnight and at weekends.

This Order will enable Dorset Council to carry out carriageway maintenance and resurfacing works.

A locally signed diversion route will be put in place to enable traffic to travel around the closed sections.

Temporary Closure of B3157, Portesham

DORSET COUNCIL intend, not less than seven days from the date of this notice to make an Order under Section 14 [1] of the Road Traffic Regulations Act 1984, as amended. All vehicles will be prohibited from proceeding along B3157, PORTESHAM between its junction with Malthouse Meadow and the entrance to Manor Dairy, a distance of approximately 145 metres. The order is needed in order to comply with health and safety regulations, which require the provision of safe working areas and to minimise the likelihood of danger to highway users. It will come into operation on 30 September 2024 and will remain in force for 18 months, however it is anticipated that the works will be completed by 08 November 2024.

This Order will enable Wessex Water to install new water main and new connections.

An alternative vehicular route will be signed using; A35 - B3159 - A354.

Temporary Closure of Dorchester Road, Sydling St Nicholas

DORSET COUNCIL intend, not less than seven days from the date of this notice to make an Order under Section 14 [1] of the Road Traffic Regulations Act 1984, as amended. All vehicles will be prohibited from proceeding along DORCHESTER ROAD, SYDLING ST NICHOLAS, between its junction with A37 and the entrance to Watershed, a distance of approximately 4530 metres.

The Order is needed in order to comply with health and safety regulations which require the provision of safe working areas and to minimise the likelihood of danger to highway users. It will come into operation on 30 September 2024 and will remain in force for 18 months however, it is anticipated that the works will be completed by 08 October 2024. This Order will enable Dorset Council to carry out ditch clearance works.

A locally signed diversion route will be put in place to enable traffic to travel around the closed sections.
