Blounts Court Road, Temporary Traffic Restrictions Due To Electrical Works

ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 - SECTION 14(1) Notice of Temporary Traffic Order
Sonning Common, Blounts Court Road Prohibition of Through Traffic Date of Order: 9 September 2024 Coming into force: 21 September 2024
This Order is being introduced because of in ground installation of HV electrical cables which is anticipated to be completed 27 September 2024. This will operate week nights between 22:00 and 06:00hrs. with full days closure working over the first weekend.
The effect of the Order is to temporarily prohibit any vehicle proceeding in that part of Blounts Court Road opposite Johnson Matthey Technology Centre. Appropriate traffic signs will be displayed to indicate when the measures are in force.
Exemptions are included for emergency services and for the works and for access to premises which are only accessible from the closed section of road.
The alternative route for traffic is via Sonning Common Road, Kiln Road, B481, Blounts Court Road and vice versa.
This Order will remain in force for a maximum period of 18 months or until the works have been completed whichever is the sooner. (Ref. T14024/AC)
