Suffolk - Multiple Temporary Footpath and Road Closures due to Works.
What is happening?
SUFFOLK COUNTY COUNCIL
ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984: SECTION 14
TEMPORARY CLOSURE OF PART OF FOOTPATHS 18 AND 72, IPSWICH
Suffolk County Council has made an order closing Footpath 18, Ipswich from Westerfield Road, Ipswich to Footpath 71, Ipswich and 225 metres northeast of Footpath 72, Ipswich for 75 metres north eastbound and Footpath 72, Ipswich from Footpath 18, Ipswich to Footpath 71, Ipswich to facilitate the construction of a new housing development. Other co-ordinated works may also take place during this period.
The diversion routes will be:
• Footpath 18 - There will be alternative route's shown on site.
• Footpath 72 - Ipswich Footpath 18 and vice versa.
It is intended that the closure will operate from 12/09/2024 - 11/03/2025 (or longer if extended by the Minister).

TEMPORARY CLOSURE OF PART OF THE C694 BRIDGE STREET, BECCLES
Suffolk County Council has made an order closing the C694 Bridge Street, Beccles from Beccles Bridge for 110 metres eastbound to facilitate repairs to ducting and civil works.
Other co-ordinated works may also take place during this period.
Access will be open for pedestrians and cyclists.
The diversion routes will be
• Anti Clockwise: Ravensmere, Newgate, Station Road, George Westwood Way, the A146, Loddon Road, Gillingham Dam and no vice versa.
• Clockwise: Gillingham Dam, Loddon Road, the A146, George Westwood Way, Station Road, Smallgate, Blyburgate, Peddars Lane, Ballygate, Northgate and no vice versa.
It is intended that the closure will operate on 12/09/2024 from 9.30am - 3.30pm but, if necessary, the order may remain in force for 18 months (or longer if extended by the Minister). Enquiries should be made to Sunbelt Rentals. Tel: 0370 050 0792.
