Various Roads, Wells in the Parishes of Chewton Mendip and Priddy (Temporary Traffic Restrictions) Order 2024
Notice is hereby given that on the 6th day of September 2024 Somerset Council made the above Order in exercise of the provisions of Section 14 (1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as previously advertised on the 29th day of August 2024, to introduce temporary traffic restrictions on the roads specified in the Schedules below. This Order will come into operation on the 12th day of September 2024 and will remain in force for eighteen months. The Works are to be phased as signed on site and expected to commence on the 16th day of September 2024 until the 6th day of October 2024 (between 0730 hours and 1800 hours) to enable Octavious working on behalf of Somerset Council to carry out resurfacing works related to the construction of a staggered junction to improve visibility and safety. The restrictions will only apply when indicated by traffic signs.

B3134 Old Bristol Road, Wells (Phase 5) – From the junction with the B3135 Roemead Road for a distance of 250 metres
B3135 Roemead Road, Wells (Phases 3 and 4) – From the junction with the B3134 Old Bristol Road in a westerly direction for a distance of 100 metres
Minery Road, Wells (Phases 3 and 4) – From the junction with the B3135 Roemead Road for a distance of 100 metres
Schedule 2 - Temporary 40mph Speed Limit

a) because works are being or are proposed to be executed on or near the road; b) because of the likelihood of danger to the public, or of serious damage to the road, which is not attributable to such works
