What is happening?
BOROUGH OF ROCHDALE
(CIVIL ENFORCEMENT OF TRAFFIC CONTRAVENTIONS) (VARIOUS STREETS) (HEYWOOD TOWNSHIP) ORDER 2008) (AMENDMENT) (NO. 81) ORDER 2024
Various Streets, Heywood
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Rochdale Borough Council, in exercise of its powers under Sections 1(1), 2 and 4 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, intend to make an Order, the effect of which would be to amend the Borough of Rochdale (Civil Enforcement of Traffic Contraventions) (Various Streets) (Heywood Township) Order 2008 by inserting the following:-
Schedule No. 9.18
On Street Permit Parking Place (24 hours) Summit Street, West Heywood Ward
n(i) the east side from a point 52 metres north of its junction with Norfolk Avenue for a distance of 6 metres in a northerly direction
A copy of the proposed Order and a plan showing the length of road concerned, together with a Statement of Reasons for making the Order, may be viewed on the Council’s website www.rochdale.gov.uk/roads, or by phoning Highways on 0300 303 8879 to request a copy via post.
Any objections or representations regarding the proposed Order, stating the grounds on which they are made, must be given in writing to trafficorders@rochdale.gov.uk or, alternatively, posted to Network Management, Floor 2, Number One Riverside, Smith Street, Rochdale, OL16 1XU to reach the Council on or before 3rd October 2024, quoting reference H60/1308-24/HEY.

This proposed Order will also amend the Borough of Rochdale (Civil Enforcement of Traffic Contraventions) (Various Streets) (Heywood Township) Order 2008 by way of the following:-
(i) Removing all references to ‘Schedule No. 2.26, No Waiting 7pm-7am’ and replacing it with a new item ‘Schedule No. 2.32, No Waiting 7pm-7am’; and,
(ii) Removing all references to ‘Schedule No. 2.26, No Waiting Mon-Fri 7am-10am and 4pm-7pm’ and replacing it with a new item ‘Schedule No. 2.33, No Waiting Mon-Fri 7am-10am and 4pm-7pm’.
