ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 - SECTION 14(1) NOTICE OF TEMPORARY TRAFFIC REGULATION ORDERS 2024

Notice is hereby given that North Somerset Council in pursuance of the provisions of section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, intend to make an order the effect of which:

Footpaths AX29/46/10, Sandford, North Somerset Temporary Prohibition of Use by Pedestrians Order 2024 Date coming into force: 18 November 2024 -Ref: SW24.25-156

Will be to close, temporarily, to pedestrians the lengths of footpath specified in the Schedule to this Notice. Exemptions are included for emergency services, works access, works vehicles and as works permit for premises which may only be accessed via the closed section of road.

This order is required because of the likelihood of danger to the public consequent upon work by Stonewood Homes for development works. This will become operative on the 18 November 2024 for a maximum period of 6 months. However, the closures may not be implemented for the whole of the period but only as necessitated by the works which is anticipated to be of 6 months in duration. Appropriate pedestrian traffic signs will be displayed when the measures are in force.

Drove Road, Weston-Super-Mare, North Somerset Temporary Prohibition of Use by Vehicles Order 2024 Date coming into force: 5 November 2024 - Ref: SW24.25-192

Will be to close, temporarily, to vehicles the lengths of roads specified in the Schedule to this Notice. Exemptions are included for emergency services, works access, works vehicles and as works permit for premises which may only be accessed via the closed section of road.

This order is required because of the likelihood of danger to the public consequent upon work by Cornerstone Telecommunications infrastructure to land a telecom pole with pedestrian diversion. This will become operative on the 5 November 2024 for a maximum period of 18 months. However, the closures may not be implemented for the whole of the period but only as necessitated by the works which is anticipated to be of 10 hours in duration. Appropriate traffic signs will be displayed when the measures are in force.

Footpath Maysmead Lane to Blackmoor Close, Langford, North Somerset Temporary Prohibition of Use by Vehicles Order 2024 Date coming into force: 11 November 2024 -Ref: SW24.25-193

Will be to close, temporarily, to vehicles the lengths of roads specified in the Schedule to this Notice. Exemptions are included for emergency services, works access, works vehicles and as works permit for premises which may only be accessed via the closed section of road.

This order is required because of the likelihood of danger to the public consequent upon work by National Grid to 15m trenching for reinforcement scheme. This will become operative on the 11 November 2024 for a maximum period of eighteen months. However, the closures may not be implemented for the whole of the period but only as necessitated by the works which is anticipated to be of 19 days in duration. Appropriate traffic signs will be displayed when the measures are in force.

Bristol Road, Rhodyate Hill and Wrington Road, Congresbury, North Somerset Temporary Prohibition of Use by Vehicles Order 2024 Date coming into force: 7 October 2024 - Ref: T24-44

Will be to close, temporarily, to vehicles the lengths of roads specified in the schedule to this notice.

This order is required because of highway improvement works and will become operative on 7 October 2024 for a maximum period of 18 months. However, the closures may not be implemented for the whole of the period but only as necessitated by the works. It is anticipated the closures will be at night-time only from 8pm to 6am for a period of approximately 3 weeks and there will be a further daytime closure from 9.30am to 3.30pm on the exit of Wrington Road for a period of approximately 4 weeks.

Schedule - A370 Bristol Road, Congresbury from its junction with the Bristol Road no through road entrance to the allotments to its junction with Wrington Road approximately 40m north of its junction with Wood Hill. A370 Rhodyate Hill, Congresbury from its junction with Wrington Road to a point 40m north of its junction with Wood Hill. Wrington Road, Congresbury from its junction with Bristol Road, Congresbury to its junction with the unadopted entrances to the first houses on Wrington Road approximately 40m from Bristol Road.

(2) Wrington Road Diversion - Wrington Road, West Hay Road, High Street, School Road, Long Lane, Church Road, A38 Red Hill, A38 Lower Langford By-pass, B3133 Stock Lane, B3133 Brinsea Road, B3133 High Street, A370 Bristol Road and vice versa

FINAL NOTICE OF TEMPORARY TRAFFIC REGULATION ORDERS 2024

Notice is hereby given that North Somerset Council in pursuance of the provisions of section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, have made an order the effect of which:

Jubilee Road, Weston-Super-Mare, North Somerset Temporary Prohibition of Use by Vehicles Order 2024 Date coming into force: 23 September 2024 - Ref: SW24.25-165

Will be to close, temporarily, to vehicles the lengths of roads specified in the Schedule to this Notice. Exemptions are included for emergency services, works access, works vehicles and as works permit for premises which may only be accessed via the closed section of road.

This order was required because of the likelihood of danger to the public consequent upon work by Openreach associated with works on Locking Road to clear blockages in duct. This will become operative on the 23 September 2024 for a maximum period of 18 months. However, the closures may not be implemented for the whole of the period but only as necessitated by the works which is anticipated to be of 3 days in duration between 9.30am and 3.30pm. Appropriate traffic signs will be displayed when the measures are in force.

The Lynch, Winscombe, North Somerset Temporary Prohibition of Use by Vehicles Order 2024 Date coming into force: 24 September 2024 - Ref: SW24.25-146

Will be to close, temporarily, to vehicles the lengths of roads specified in the Schedule to this Notice. Exemptions are included for emergency services, works access, works vehicles and as works permit for premises which may only be accessed via the closed section of road.

This order was required because of the likelihood of danger to the public consequent upon work by National Grid to replace a pole. This will become operative on the 24 September 2024 for a maximum period of 18 months. However, the closures may not be implemented for the whole of the period but only as necessitated by the works which is anticipated to be of 2 days in duration between 9.30am and 3.30pm. Appropriate traffic signs will be displayed when the measures are in force.
