Suffolk - Multiple Temporary Road Closures due to Utility Works and Resurfacing.

What is happening?

SUFFOLK COUNTY COUNCIL

ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984: SECTION 14

TEMPORARY CLOSURE OF THE C637 GOBBETTS LANE, HINDERCLAY

Suffolk County Council has made an order closing the C637 Gobbetts Lane, Hinderclay to facilitate broadband installation. Other co-ordinated works may also take place during this period.

Access will be open for pedestrians and cyclists.

The diversion route will be Tuffen Lane, Hopton Road, Thelnetham Road, the B1111, the A143, Townhouse Lane, Wattisfield Road and vice versa.

It is intended that the closure will operate from 11/09/2024 - 13/09/2024 but, if necessary, the order may remain in force for 18 months (or longer if extended by the Minister).

TEMPORARY CLOSURE OF PART OF THE C670 KINGS ROAD. BURY ST EDMUNDS

Suffolk County Council has made an order closing the C670 Kings Road, Bury St Edmunds from the junction with Victoria Street to the junction with Albert Crescent to facilitate water service remedial works. Other co-ordinated works may also take place during this period.

Access will be open for pedestrians and cyclists.

The diversion route will be Albert Crescent, Queens Road, Westley Road, Out Risbygate, Parkway and no vice versa.

It is intended that the closure will operate from 11/09/2024 - 13/09/2024 but, if necessary, the order may remain in force for 18 months (or longer if extended by the Minister).

TEMPORARY CLOSURE OF PART OF THE U3609 SPRING LANE, UFFORD

Suffolk County Council has made an order closing the U3609 Spring Lane, Ufford from the junction with High Street lor 80 metres eastbound to facilitate a sewer connection. Other co-ordinated works may also take place during this period.

Access will be open for pedestrians and cyclists.

The diversion route will be Barrack Lane, The Avenue, School Lane, Yarmouth Road and vice versa.

It is intended that the closure will operate from 11/09/2024 - 25/09/2024 but, if necessary, the order may remain in force for 18 months (or longer if extended by the Minister).

TEMPORARY CLOSURE OF PART OF THE C730 DUKE STREET, HINTLESHAM

Suffolk County Council has made an order closing the C730 Duke Street, Hintlesham from Quince Cottage to Lime Grove to facilitate overhead cabling works. Other co-ordinated works may also take place during this period.

Access will be open for pedestrians and cyclists.

The diversion route will be the A1071, the B1070, Station Road, Pond Hall Road, Duke Street and vice versa.

It is intended that the closure will operate on 11/09/2024 from 9:30am - 3pm but, if necessary, the order may remain in force for 18 months (or longer if extended by the Minister).

TEMPORARY CLOSURE OF THE C676 THE HILL AND THE STREET, POSLINGFORD

Suffolk County Council intends to make an order closing the following roads:

• the C676 The Hill, Poslingford

• the C676 The Street, Poslingford.

This is to facilitate carriageway resurfacing. Other co-ordinated works may also take place during this period.

Access will be open for pedestrians and cyclists.

The diversion route will be Clare Road, Poslingford, the B1063, the A143, Wickham Street Road, Lower Green. Plough Hill, Lower Street, High Street, Clare Road, Stansfield, Stansfield Road

and vice versa.

It is intended that the closure will operate from 20/09/2024 - 24/09/2024 from 8am - 6pm but, if necessary, the order may remain in force for 18 months (or longer if extended by the Minister). Enquiries should be made to Suffolk Highways. Tel: 0345 606 6171.
