South Lawn Way - Temporary Prohibition of Traffic For Resurfacing Works
What is happening?

ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 SECTION 14 (1)
TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF THROUGH TRAFFIC SOUTH LAWN WAY, MELTON
Notice is hereby given that East Riding of Yorkshire Council intends not less than seven days from the date of this notice to make an Order, the effect of which will be to prohibit any vehicle from proceeding along South Lawn Way, Melton (junction with Melton Bottom Roundabout and the junction with Woodside North Roundabout) commencing Monday 30 September 2024 for two nights only (Monday to Friday) to undertake resurfacing works on the approach to Woodside Roundabout.
The road closure is necessary to enable the works to be carried out in a manner consistent with ensuring the safety of the public.
The Order is valid for 18 months, but it is anticipated that the works will be completed by 2 October 2024.
The alternative route for traffic affected by this closure will be via Melton Bottom, Swanland Dale, Swanland Dale roundabout, Riplingham Road, Riplingham Road roundabout, A164, Humber Bridge Northern Approach Road, Humber Bridge Roundabout, Lowthorpe Way, Humberfield Roundabout, road from Ferriby High Road to Humberfield Roundabout and Petuaria Way.
The road will remain open for emergency services, residents access and pedestrians. (Access will also be provided for National Highway vehicles if required).
