Fons George, Temporary Road Closure Due To Jetting Works
What is happening?
Somerset Council Temporary Closure of Fons George, Taunton
Somerset Council in exercise of its powers under Section 14 (1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended, propose to make an Order prohibiting all traffic from proceeding along Fons George - from the junction with Wilton Street, south-eastwards for a total distance of 207 metres. This Order will enable Kier to carry out jetting works on behalf of Somerset Highways.
The Order becomes effective on 26th September 2024 and will remain in force for 18 months. The works are expected to commence on 1st October 2024 and last until 1st October 2024 between the hours of 08:00 -17:00 for a total of 10 hours.
