Suffolk - Multiple Temporary Road Closures due to Utility and Maintenance Works.

What is happening?

SUFFOLK COUNTY COUNCIL

ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984: SECTION 14

TEMPORARY CLOSURE OF PART OF THE U2826 CROWN STREET, LEISTON

Suffolk County Council has made an order closing the U2826 Crown Street, Leiston from the junction with Sizewell Road for 30 metres northbound to facilitate upgrading electrical services. Other co-ordinated works may also take place during this period.

Access will be open for pedestrians and cyclists.

The diversion route will be Urban Road, Sizewell Road and vice versa.

It is intended that the closure will operate from 10/09/2024 -17/09/2024 but, if necessary, the order may remain in force for 18 months (or longer if extended by the Minister).

TEMPORARY CLOSURE OF PART OF THE A1214 VALLEY ROAD, IPSWICH

Suffolk County Council intends to make an order closing the A1214 Wiley Road, Ipswich from no. 133 for 30 metres eastbound to facilitate a new water connection. Other co-ordinated works may also take place during this period.

Access will be open for pedestrians and cyclists.

The diversion routes will be

• Eastbound: Norwich Road, Crown Street, St Margarets Street, Woodbridge Road, Woodbridge Road East and no vice versa

• Westbound: Woodbridge Road East, Woodbridge Road, Argyle Street, St Helens Street, St Margarets Street, Crown Street, Norwich Road and no vice versa.

It is intended that the closure will operate from 6.30pm on 19/09/2024 - 6.30am on 20/09/2024 but, if necessary, the order may remain in force for 18 months (or longer if extended by the Minister).

TEMPORARY CLOSURE OF PART OF THE C209 ALL ROAD, WALPOLE

Suffolk County Council has made an order closing the C209 Peasenhall Road, Walpole from the access to Packway Farm for 750 metres southbound to facilitate tree cutting. Other

co-ordinated works may also take place during this period.

Access will be open for pedestrians and cyclists.

The diversion route will be Dunwich Lane, Heveningham Long Lane, the B1117 and vice versa.

It is intended that the closure will operate on 10/09/2024 from 8am until 5pm but, if necessary, the order may remain in force for 18 months (or longer if extended by the Minister).

TEMPORARY CLOSURE OF THE U6014 CRICKS ROAD, WEST ROW

Suffolk County Council has made an order closing the U6014 Cricks Road, West Row to facilitate carriageway resurfacing. Other co-ordinated works may also take place during this period.

Access will be open for pedestrians and cyclists.

The diversion route will be Eldo Road, Bargate Road, Pott Hall Road and vice versa.

It is intended that the closure will operate from 10/09/2024 - 13/09/2024 from 8am - 6pm but, if necessary, the order may remain in force for 18 months (or longer if extended by the Minister). Enquiries should be made to Suffolk Highways. Tel: 0345 606 6171.

TEMPORARY CLOSURE OF PART OF THE C765 CROWN STREET, BURY ST EDMUNDS

Suffolk County Council has made an order closing the C765 Crown Street, Bury St Edmunds from 1 metre north of the junction with Westgate Street for 55 metres northbound to facilitate the delivery of a new boiler. Other co-ordinated works may also take place during this period.

Access will be open for pedestrians and cyclists.

The diversion route will be Westgate Street, the A1302, Northgate Street and no vice versa.

It is intended that the closure will operate on 10/09/2024 from 7am - 7pm but, if necessary, the order may remain in force for 18 months (or longer if extended by the Minister).

TEMPORARY CLOSURE OF PART OF FOOTPATH 24, FELIXSTOWE

Suffolk County Council has made an order closing Footpath 24, Felixstowe from 280 metres southwest of Footpath 18 for 100 metres south westbound to facilitate the construction of a new housing development. Other co-ordinated works may also take place during this period. The diversion route will be made available on site.

It is intended that the closure will operate from 10/09/2024 - 09/03/2025 (or longer if extended by the Minister).
