What is happening?

THE EAST RIDING OF YORKSHIRE COUNCIL
ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 SECTION 14 (1)
TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF THROUGH TRAFFIC EAST STREET, LEVEN

Notice is hereby given that East Riding of Yorkshire Council intends not less than seven days from the date of this notice to make an Order, the effect of which will be to prohibit any vehicle from proceeding along East Street, Leven (between North Street junction and High Stile/Hornsea Road junction) commencing Thursday 26 September 2024 to carry out carriageway repair works.

The road closure is necessary to enable the closure to go ahead in a manner consistent with ensuring the safety of the public.

The Order is valid for 18 months, but it is anticipated that the works will be completed by 27 September 2024.

The alternative route for traffic affected by this closure will be via High Stile and South Street, Leven. Access will be maintained for pedestrians, residents and emergency services.
