What is happening?
THE WOLVERHAMPTON CITY COUNCIL (WIGHTWICK BANK)
(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER 2024
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Wolverhampton City Council propose to make an Order under Section 14(1)(a) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as substituted by the Road Traffic (Temporary Restrictions) Act 1991, prohibiting vehicles from proceeding on the following stretches of road: Wightwick Bank closed in both directions at its junction with Perton Brook Vale. Perton Brook Vale closed in both directions at its junction with Wightwick Bank. The diversion route is: Mill Lane, School Road, Church Road, The Holloway, Bridgnorth Road and vice versa. The Order may operate for a maximum period of eighteen months, but it is anticipated that the works will be undertaken on 21 September 2024 from 08:00 until 15:00. The Order is required to facilitate the removal of trees at risk of failing, and to cut back trees obstructing lighting columns, and road signs, by City of Wolverhampton Council.
