What is happening?

Parish of Norton St Philip Temporary Closure of Farleigh Road

Somerset Council in exercise of its powers under Section 14 (1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended, propose to make an Order prohibiting all traffic from proceeding along Farleigh Road - from 128 metres south-west the junction with A36 From Junction A366 To Junction B3108, south-westwards for a total distance of 94 metres. This Order will enable OCU Group to carry out underground cabling works on behalf of Scottish & Southern Electricity Networks.
The Order becomes effective on 26th September 2024 and will remain in force for eighteen months. The works are expected to commence on 30th September 2024 and last until 4th October 2024 between the hours of 00:00 - 23:59 for a total of 5 days.
