What is happening?

B6353 LOWICK TO FENWICK LOWICK
(TEMPORARY ROAD CLOSURE) ORDER NO.2 2024

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Northumberland County Council have made an Order to prohibit the use by vehicular traffic on that section of the B6353 Lowick To Fenwick from 280 metres west of its junction with C18, heading west for a distance of 250 metres in the County of Northumberland.
The Order is to be effective from the 20th September 2024 until the 20th March 2025.
It is expected that the road will only be closed on the 20th September 2024 between the hours of 07:30 and 17:00; however, the order will remain in place until 20th March 2025.
The alternative route for vehicular traffic will be via the B6353, B6525, A1 and vice-versa.

The closure has been requested by Northumberland County Council for resurfacing of the carriageway. In order to minimise future disruption, other contractors may be undertaking works throughout the duration of this Order.
