ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984
THE DERBYSHIRE COUNTY COUNCIL (ASHOPTON ROAD AND MAIN ROAD, BAMFORD, BAMFORD) (PROHIBITION OF WAITING) TRAFFIC REGULATION ORDER 2024

Notice is hereby given that, on the 5th of September 2024, Derbyshire County Council made an Order under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984. The Order will come into operation on the 16th of September 2024 and its effect is;
TO PROHIBIT WAITING AT ANY TIME OF VEHICLES – (EXCEPT THOSE DELIVERING OR COLLECTING GOODS OR LOADING AND UNLOADING)
Ashopton Road, Bamford
West side
From a point 67.5 metres north-east of its junction with South View in a north-easterly then a north-westerly direction, for a distance of 77 metres.
Main Road, Bamford
West side
From a point opposite a point 10 metres south of its junction with Brentwood Road in a northerly direction, for a distance of 35 metres.
Exemptions have been made for vehicles used in connection with any building operation or demolition; removal of any obstruction to traffic; carrying out of statutory powers or as part of a funeral or wedding cortege. The usual exemptions for disabled persons’ vehicles displaying a valid disabled person’s badge also applies.
Any permanent Traffic Regulation Orders made prior to this Order, insofar as they relate to the lengths of road listed above, are revoked.
A copy of the Order and documents giving more detailed particulars of the Order are available for inspection at the County Council’s principal offices known as County Hall on Smedley Street in Matlock. at Tideswell Library, St John's Institute, St John's Road, Tideswell, Buxton, Derbyshire, SK17 8NE during opening hours and on request by emailing place.permanentTRO@derbyshire.gov.uk until 6 weeks after the Order is made until the 17th October 2024.
Any person who wishes to question the validity of the Order, or any provision contained in it, on the ground that it is not within the powers of The Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, or on the ground that a requirement of that Act or any relevant regulation made under it has not been complied with may, within 6 weeks from the 5th of September 2024 make application for the purpose to the High Court.
