What is happening?

(BRIDLEWAY 0101037 LANCASTER)
(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF THROUGH TRAFFIC) ORDER 2024
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Lancashire County Council intends to make an Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, the effect of which will be to prohibit temporarily all traffic from proceeding over the Public Bridleway indicated below:- From Far Moor Lane – Lancaster Point A (SD 4940 – 6189) in a general northerly direction for approximately 1,500 metres to Ridge Lane – Lancaster Point B (SD 4974 – 6279).
The closure is necessary whilst works are carried out on or near the bridleway.
Access for pedestrians to any premises situated on or adjacent to the bridleway, or to any other premises accessible for pedestrians from, and only from, the bridleway, will be maintained at all times.
Nothing in the order shall apply to emergency service vehicles or to those undertaking the works
The Order will be operative from the 23rd day of September 2024 until the 30th day of November 2024 or until the works are completed within this period.
