C424 BERWICK BRIDGE, BERWICK-UPON-TWEED
(TEMPORARY ROAD CLOSURE) ORDER NO.3 2024
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Northumberland County Council intends to make an Order to prohibit the use by vehicular traffic on that section of the C424 Berwick Bridge Berwick-upon-Tweed from its junction with the U107 heading in a southerly direction for a length of 290 metres in the County of Northumberland.
The Order is to be effective from the 6th October 2024 until the 4th February 2025.
It is expected that the road will only be closed from the 7th October 2024 until the 6th January 2025 and that it will be closed at all times during this period; however the order will remain in place until 4th February 2025.
The alternative route for vehicular traffic will be via the U111, A1167, C424 and vice-versa.

The closure has been requested by Northumberland County Council to carry out parapet/bridge repairs. In order to minimise future disruption, other contractors may be undertaking works throughout the duration of this Order.
