What is happening?

NOTICE OF A PUBLIC PATH DIVERSION ORDER

aT GREEN THORN FARM, HURST GREEN
PUBLIC PATH DIVERSION ORDER 2024

The above Order, made on 21 August 2024, under section 119 of the Highways Act 1980, will divert the footpath from an unmarked point at the edge of the forest, by a fence just to the south of the south-western corner of Green Thorn Farm at SD 6660 4023 through the grounds of Green Thorn Farm in a generally northerly direction to a point by a trod line in the forest on the southern side of Longridge Fell, 200 meters to the north of the dwelling of Green Thorn Farm at SD 6651 4076, to a new line starting from the same unmarked point at the edge of the forest, to enter the south-west corner of Green Thorn Farm at SD 6660 4024, to follow the western boundary to the north-western corner of Green Thorn Farm at SD 6644 4058, to continue on the trod line through the commercial forest in a generally northerly direction to a point at SD 6651 4076 as shown on the Order Plan.

The Order will amend the Definitive Map and Statement for the County of Lancashire accordingly.

A copy of the Order and the Order Map have been placed and may be seen free of charge at my offices from 9am to 5pm on weekdays. Copies of the Order and Map may be bought there at the price of £1.00.

Any representations about, or objections to the Order may be sent in writing to the Director of Corporate Services, Lancashire County Council, PO Box 100, County Hall, Preston, PR1 0LD (REF: LSG4/SM18/888.4079/PROW) not later than 10 October 2024. Please state the grounds on which they are made.

If no such representations or objections are duly made, or if any so made are withdrawn, Lancashire County Council may confirm the Order as an unopposed Order. If the Order is sent to the Secretary of State for the Environment for confirmation any representations or objections which have not been withdrawn will be sent with the Order.
