BOROUGH OF ROCHDALE ((CIVIL ENFORCEMENT OF TRAFFIC CONTRAVENTIONS) (VARIOUS STREETS) (ROCHDALE TOWNSHIP) ORDER 2008) (AMENDMENT) (NO. 226) ORDER 2024
Various Streets, Rochdale

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Rochdale Borough Council, in exercise of its powers under Sections 1(1), 2 and 4 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, intend to make an Order, the effect of which would be to:-

(i) Amend the Borough of Rochdale (Civil Enforcement of Traffic Contraventions) (Various Streets) (Rochdale Township) Order 2008, by inserting the following:-

Schedule No. 9.18
On Street Permit Parking Place (24 hours) Leamington Street, Central Rochdale Ward

n(i) the south side from a point 18 metres west of its junction with Redcross Street for a distance of 6 metres in a westerly direction

Buckingham Street, Central Rochdale Ward
n(i) the east side from a point 30 metres south-east of its junction with South Street for a distance of 6 metres in a south-easterly direction

Clement Royds Street, Spotland & Falinge Ward
n(i) the west side from a point 15 metres north-east of its junction with Spotland Road for a distance of 6 metres in a north-easterly direction

Law Street, Bamford Ward
n(i) the west side from a point 11 metres north-west of its junction with Rouse Street for a distance of 6 metres in a north-westerly direction

Mavis Street, Castleton Ward
n(i) the west side from a point 29 metres south-east of its junction with Heywood Road for a distance of 6 metres in a south-easterly direction

Cross Street, Castleton Ward
n(i) the north side from a point 23 metres south-east of its junction with Queensway for a distance of 6 metres in a south-easterly direction

Smalley Street, Castleton Ward
n(i) the east side from a point 7 metres north-east of its junction with Atkinson Street for a distance of 6 metres in a north-westerly direction

Pullman Street, Milkstone & Deeplish Ward
n(i) the east side from a point 64 metres south-east of its junction with Deeplish Road for a distance of 6 metres in a southerly direction

Drake Street, Milkstone & Deeplish Ward
n(i) the south side from a point 43 metres west of its junction with Milkstone Road for a distance of 6 metres in a westerly direction

(ii) Revoke those parts of the Borough of Rochdale (Civil Enforcement of Traffic Contraventions) (Various Streets) (Rochdale Township) Order 2008, as follows:-

Claremont Road, Bamford Ward

n(i) the west side from a point 9 metres north of its junction with Malvern Street West for a distance of 6 metres in a north-westerly direction

A copy of the proposed Order and plans showing the length of road concerned, together with a Statement of Reasons for making the Order, may be viewed on the Council’s website www.rochdale.gov.uk/roads, or by phoning Highways on 0300 303 8879 to request a copy via post.

Any objections or representations regarding the proposed Order, stating the grounds on which they are made, must be given in writing to trafficorders@rochdale.gov.uk or, alternatively, posted to Network Management, Floor 2, Number One Riverside, Smith Street, Rochdale, OL16 1XU to reach the Council on or before 2nd October 2024, quoting reference H60/1308-24/ROC.

This proposed Order will also amend the Borough of Rochdale (Civil Enforcement of Traffic Contraventions) (Various Streets) (Rochdale Township) Order 2008 by way of the following:-

(i) Removing all references to ‘Schedule No. 2.26, No Waiting 7pm-7am’ and replacing it with a new item ‘Schedule No. 2.32, No Waiting 7pm-7am’; and,

(ii) Removing all references to ‘Schedule No. 2.26, No Waiting Mon-Fri 7am-10am and 4pm-7pm’ and replacing it with a new item ‘Schedule No. 2.33, No Waiting Mon-Fri 7am- 10am and 4pm-7pm’.
