Carlton-in-lindrick and Retford - Temporary Prohibition of Proceeding
What is happening?
THE NOTTINGHAMSHIRE COUNTY COUNCIL
(CROSSLEY HILL LANE, WIGTHORPE LANE AND THORESBY WAY, CARLTON-INLINDRICK AND RETFORD) (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF PROCEEDING) ORDER 2024 (BS24-210)
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Nottinghamshire County Council has made an Order, under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, in respect of roads at Carlton-in-Lindrick and Retford in the District of Bassetlaw.
The effects of the Order will be:
1. Vehicles are prohibited from proceeding in the following length of road
a. CROSSLEY HILL LANE, CARLTON-IN-LINDRICK - From its junction with Hundred Acre Lane in a north easterly direction for 100 metres
b. WIGTHORPE LANE, CARLTON-IN-LINDRICK - From its junction with A60 Carlton Road in a south easterly direction for 220 metres
c. THORESBY WAY, RETFORD - From its junction with Ollerton Road in a south easterly direction for 30 metres
2. Vehicles are prohibited from Waiting, Loading and Unloading (both sides) (at all times) in the following length of road
a. CROSSLEY HILL LANE, CARLTON-IN-LINDRICK - From its junction with Hundred Acre Lane in a north easterly direction for 100 metres
b. WIGTHORPE LANE, CARLTON-IN-LINDRICK - From its junction with A60 Carlton Road in a south easterly direction for 220 metres
c. THORESBY WAY, RETFORD - From its junction with Ollerton Road in a south easterly direction for 30 metres
3. All existing permanent restrictions will be temporarily suspended as required.
4. The restrictions specified above shall only be in effect when the signs are in place.
IT IS INTENDED that the prohibitions respecting the above road or roads will apply as follows:
From 08:00 hours Thursday 12th September 2024
Until 15:30 hours Thursday 24th September 2024 inclusive. AND NOTICE IS HEREBY FURTHER GIVEN that during the period of restriction the alternative route available will be:
a. CROSSLEY HILL LANE, CARLTON-IN-LINDRICK - Crossley Hill Lane - Hundred Acre Lane - Blyth Road - Crossley Hill Lane and vice versa
b. WIGTHORPE LANE, CARLTON-IN-LINDRICK - Wigthorpe Lane - Carlton Road - Thievesdale Lane - Farmers Branch - Blyth Road - Hundred Acre Lane - Liquorice Lane - Wigthorpe Lane and vice versa
c. THORESBY WAY, RETFORD - No diversion available The Order will come into force on Thursday 12th September and any prohibition in it shall apply on that day and any subsequent day when necessary to enable works to be carried out. The Order shall continue in force until the works are completed (within a maximum period of 18 months).
