Barking, Temporary Traffic Restrictions Due To Re-development Works

What is happening?

THE LONDON BOROUGH OF BARKING AND DAGENHAM (WAKERING ROAD AND SAILSBURY AVENUE, BARKING) (TEMPORARY TRAFFIC RESTRICTIONS) ORDER 2024

NOTICE OF INTENT

1. NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that in order to facilitate re-development works of Trocoll House, the London Borough of Barking and Dagenham intends to make a Temporary Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.

2. The order is expected to come in to effect on Sunday 6 October 2024. The works expected for:

  • Re-development works of Trocoll House estimated to take 18 months to complete. Completion date estimated as Sunday 5 April 2026 with the work expected to be undertaken at all times.

However, the Order will remain in force for 18 months to be re-introduced should further works be required.

3. When the works are taking place and the appropriate traffic signs are being displayed the Order will temporarily:-

  • Suspend the No stopping at any time except taxis restriction on Wakering Road, south-west side, from a point 10.6 metres north-west of its junction with Station Parade for a distance of 31.4 metres in a north-westerly direction.
  • Suspend the No stopping at any time except taxis restriction on Wakering Road, south-west side, from a point 71.5 metres north-west of its junction with Station Parade for a distance of 49.1 metres in a north-westerly direction.
  • Replace the Disabled Badge Holders Only 20mins No return within 2hrs bay with No stopping at any time except taxis on Salisbury Avenue, south-west side, from a point 10.2 metres south-east of its junction with Station Parade for a distance of 4.6 metres in a south-easterly direction.
  • Replace the Disabled Badge Holders Only 20mins No return within 2hrs bay with No stopping at any time except taxis on Salisbury Avenue, south-west side, from a point 27.1 metres south-east of its junction with Station Parade for a distance of 7.3 metres in a south-easterly direction.
  • Replace the Resident Permit Holders Only Zone D Mon-Sat 8.30am-9pm bay on Salisbury Avenue with No stopping at any time except taxis, south-west side, from a point opposite 1.7 metres north-west of the common property boundary of Nos. 1 /3 Salisbury Avenue for a distance of 16.7 metres in a south-easterly direction.
