What is happening?

SUFFOLK COUNTY COUNCIL

ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984: SECTION 14

TEMPORARY CLOSURE OF PART OF THE U2418 DEVONSHIRE ROAD AND U2415 BACK HAMLET, IPSWICH

Suffolk County Council has made an order closing the following roads:

  1. U2418 Devonshire Road, Ipswich
  2. U2415 Back Hamlet, Ipswich westbound only from Grove Lane to Hill House Road.

    This is to facilitate carriageway resurfacing. Other co-ordinated works may also take place during this period.

    Access will be open for pedestrians and cyclists.

    The diversion routes will be:

  3. Back Hamlet, Foxhall Road, Alan Road, Cavendish Street and vice versa
  4. Grove Lane, St Helens Street, Grimwade Street, Fore Street with no vice versa.

    It is intended that the closure will operate from 09/09/2024 - 11/09/2024 from 8 am - 6 pm. If necessary, the order may remain in force for 18 months (or longer if extended by the Minister).

TEMPORARY CLOSURE OF PART OF THE U2682 ADELAIDE ROAD, IPSWICH

Suffolk County Council has made an order closing the U2682 Adelaide Road, Ipswich from 56 metres south of Tasmania Road for 30 metres southbound to facilitate a new water connection. Other co-ordinated works may also take place during this period.

Access will be open for pedestrians and cyclists.

The diversion route will be Tasmania Road, Brisbane Road and vice versa.

It is intended that the closure will operate from 10/09/2024 - 12/09/2024 but, if necessary, the order may remain in force for 18 months (or longer if extended by the Minister).

TEMPORARY CLOSURE OF PART OF THE C23 CAULDWELL HALL ROAD, IPSWICH

Suffolk County Council has made an order closing the C23 Cauldwell Hall Road, Ipswich from no. 9 for 20 metres southbound to facilitate a new water connection. Other co-ordinated works may also take place during this period.

Access will be open for pedestrians and cyclists.

The diversion route will be Woodbridge Road, Woodbridge Road East, Spring Road and vice versa.

It is intended that the closure will operate from 10/09/2024 - 12/09/2024 but, if necessary, the order may remain in force for 18 months (or longer if extended by the Minister).

TEMPORARY CLOSURE OF PART OF THE U2411 LOWES HILL, KELSALE CUM CARLTON

Suffolk County Council has made an order closing the U2411 Lowes Hill, Kelsale Cum Carlton from 860 metres east of the junction with Butcher Road for 40 metres eastbound to facilitate a new water connection. Other co-ordinated works may also take place during this period.

Access will be open for pedestrians and cyclists.

The diversion route will be Bridge Street, the B1121, Clay Hill Road, Hawthorn Road and vice versa.

It is intended that the closure will operate from 09/09/2024 - 13/09/2024 but, if necessary, the order may remain in force for 18 months (or longer if extended by the Minister).

TEMPORARY CLOSURE OF PART OF FOOTPATH 1, REDE

Suffolk County Council has made an order closing Footpath 1, Rede from the track to Brush Wood for 70 metres eastbound to facilitate installing a water pipeline. Other co-ordinated works may also take place during this period.

The diversion route will be available on site.

It is intended that the closure will operate from 09/09/2024 - 14/10/2024 but, if necessary, the order may remain in force for 6 months (or longer if extended by the Minister).

TEMPORARY CLOSURE OF PART OF THE U5621 MONKS SOHAM ROAD, BEDFIELD

Suffolk County Council has made an order closing the U5621 Monks Soham Road, Bedfield from the junction with Cemetery Road for 100 metres southbound to facilitate upgrades to electrical systems. Other co-ordinated works may also take place during this period.

Access will be open for pedestrians and cyclists.

The diversion route will be Earl Soham Road, the A1120, Low Road and vice versa.

It is intended that the closure will operate from 09/09/2024 - 13/09/2024 but, if necessary, the order may remain in force for 18 months (or longer if extended by the Minister).

TEMPORARY CLOSURE OF PART OF THE U5425 CHERRY TREE LANE, BOTESDALE

Suffolk County Council has made an order closing the U5425 Cherry Tree Lane, Botesdale from the junction with Back Hills to no. 21 to facilitate the installation of track in the carriageway. Other co-ordinated works may also take place during this period.

Access will be open for pedestrians and cyclists.

The diversion route will be Rose Lane, the B1113, Diss Road, Back Hills, and vice versa.

It is intended that the closure will operate from 09/09/2024 - 23/09/2024 but, if necessary, the order may remain in force for 18 months (or longer if extended by the Minister).

TEMPORARY CLOSURE OF PART OF THE U8057 SHELLEY ROAD, LAYHAM

Suffolk County Council has made an order closing the U8057 Shelley Road, Layham from Brick Kiln Cottage for 140 metres southbound to facilitate electrical supply installation. Other co-ordinated works may also take place during this period.

Access will be open for pedestrians and cyclists.

The diversion route will be Layham Road the road from the C727 to the C473, Stoke Road, Shelley Road and vice versa.

It is intended that the closure will operate from 09/09/2024 - 12/09/2024 but, if necessary, the order may remain in force for 18 months (or longer if extended by the Minister).

TEMPORARY CLOSURE OF PART OF THE U8401 NEDGING ROAD, NEDGING WITH NAUGHTON

Suffolk County Council has made an order closing the U8401 Nedging Road, Nedging with Naughton from Prospect House to Hillside to facilitate overhead cabling and pole maintenance works. Other co-ordinated works may also take place during this period.

Access will be open for pedestrians and cyclists.

The diversion route will be Nedging Road, the B1115, the B1078 and vice versa.

It is intended that the closure will operate on 09/09/2024 from 9.30am - 4.30pm. If necessary, the order may remain in force for 18 months (or longer if extended by the Minister).

TEMPORARY CLOSURE OF PART OF THE A154 CANDLET ROAD, FELIXSTOWE

Suffolk County Council has made an order closing the A154 Candlet Road, Felixstowe from the junction with Cow Pasture Lane to the Dock Spur roundabout to facilitate construction of a new roundabout. Other co-ordinated works may also take place during this period.

Access will be open for pedestrians and cyclists.

The diversion route will be the A14, Port of Felixstowe Road, Walton Avenue, Beach Station Road, Langer Road, Garrison Lane, Candlet Road and vice versa.

It is intended that the closure will operate from 09/09/2024 - 10/11/2024 but, if necessary, the order may remain in force for 18 months (or longer if extended by the Minister).

Suffolk County Council has made an order closing the U3208 Church Lane, Bucklesham from Praa to St Marys Church to facilitate ducting works. Other co-ordinated works may also take place during this period.

Access will be open for pedestrians and cyclists.

The diversion route will be Main Road and vice versa.

It is intended that the closure will operate from 09/09/2024 - 14/09/2024 but, if necessary, the order may remain in force for 18 months (or longer if extended by the Minister).

TEMPORARY CLOSURE OF PART OF THE U3636 REDWALD ROAD, RENDLESHAM

Suffolk County Council has made an order closing the U3636 Redwald Road, Rendlesham from the junction with Woodbridge Road at the roundabout to no. 133 Redwald Road to facilitate highway works. Other co-ordinated works may also take place during this period.

Access will be open for pedestrians and cyclists.

The diversion route will be Alder Road, the A1152, the B1069 and vice versa.

It is intended that the closure will operate from 09/09/2024 - 04/10/2024 but, if necessary, the order may remain in force for 18 months (or longer if extended by the Minister).

TEMPORARY CLOSURE OF PART OF THE C694 NORTHGATE, BECCLES

Suffolk County Council has made an order closing the C694 Northgate, Beccles from the junction with The Score to no. 46 to facilitate laying duct and providing a pole bend. Other co-ordinated works may also take place during this period.

Access will be open for pedestrians and cyclists.

The diversion route will be Northgate, Saltgate, The Walk, Market Street, Station Road, George Westwood Way, the A146 Norwich Road, Loddon Road, Gillingham Dam, Bridge Street and vice versa.

It is intended that the closure will operate from 09/09/2024 - 11/09/2024 but, if necessary, the order may remain in force for 18 months (or longer if extended by the Minister).

TEMPORARY CLOSURE OF PART OF THE C913 LONG ROAD, LOWESTOFT

Suffolk County Council has made an order closing the C913 Long Road, Lowestoft from the junction with Kirkley Run to Britten Road to facilitate excavation to repair and replace district metered areas. Other co-ordinated works may also take place during this period.

Access will be open for pedestrians and cyclists.

The diversion route will be the A1117, the A12 and vice versa.

It is intended that the closure will operate from 09/09/2024 - 13/09/2024 but, if necessary, the order may remain in force for 18 months (or longer if extended by the Minister).
