What is happening?

SUFFOLK COUNTY COUNCIL

ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984: SECTION 14

TEMPORARY CLOSURE OF PART OF THE C661 FRONT STREET. OUSDEN

Suffolk County Council Intends to make an order closing the C661 Front Street, Ousden from no. 1 The Mill for 50 metres eastbound to facilitate electrical works. Other co-ordinated works may also take place during this period. Access will be open for pedestrians and cyclists.

The diversion route will be the B1063, Cemetery Road, Coltsfoot Green, Ashfield Green, Wickhambrook Road, The Green and vice versa.

It is intended that the closure will operate from 18/09/2024 - 20/09/2024 but, if necessary, the order may remain in force for 18 months (or longer if extended by the Minister). Enquiries should be made to Highway Safety Management. Tel: (01473) 554385.

TEMPORARY CLOSURE OF FOOTPATH 2 AND 5, FLEMPTON

Suffolk County Council has made an order closing footpaths 2 and 5, Flempton for safety reasons due to a dangerous path. Other coordinated works may also take place during this period! There is no diversion route.

This order continues in force the emergency measures operating since 19/08/2024

It is intended that the closure will operate until 18/02/2025, (or longer if extended by the Minister).

TEMPORARY 30 MPH SPEED RESTRICTION ON PART OF THE C658 HIGHAM ROAD AND THE U7015 ROAD FROM THE C658 TO UPPER GREEN, GAZELEY

Suffolk County Council has made an order for a temporary 30 mph speed restriction on the following roads:

  • The C658 Higham Road, Gazeley from 60 metres northeast of the junction with Tithe Close to the road from the C658 to Upper Green
  • The U7015 road from the C658 to Upper Green, Gazeley from Higham Road for 400 metres south eastbound

This is to facilitate site access for water pipe works. Other co-ordinated works may also take place during this period.

It is intended that the measure will operate from 07/09/2024 - 26/11/2024 but, if necessary, the order may remain in force for 18 months (or longer if extended by the Minister). Enquiries should be made to Anglian Water Services. Tel: 0345 714 5145.

TEMPORARY 30 MPH SPEED RESTRICTION ON PART OF THE C660 DALHAM ROAD. DENHAM ROAD AND THE ROAD FROM THE C659 TO

THE B1085, OUSDEN, DALHAM AND ST EDMUNDSBURY Suffolk County Council has made an order for a temporary 30 mph speed restriction on the following roads:

  • The C660 Dalham Road, Ousden from Jillings Faim to Denham Road, Delham
  • The C660 Denham Road, Dalham from Dalham Road, Ousden to the road from the C659 to the B1085, St Edmundsbury
  • The C660 road from the C659 to the B1085, St Edmundsbury from Denham Road, Dalham to Barrow Road, St Edmunsdbury

This is to facilitate site access for water pipe works. Other co-ordinated woiks may also take place during this period.

It is intended that the measure will operate from 07/09/2024 - 06/11/2024 but, if necessary, the order may remain in force for 18 months (or longer if extended by the Minister). Enquiries should be made to Anglian Water Services. Tel: 0345 714 5145.

TEMPORARY CLOSURE OF PART OF THE U8362 ASH STREET AND U8335 BUTCHERS LANE, BOXFORD

Suffolk County Council intends to make an order closing the

  • U8362 Ash Street, Boxford from the junction with Ash Street to Butchers Lane.
  • U8335 Butchers Lane, Boxford from the junction with Ash Street to Homers Green.

This is to facilitate carriageway resurfacing. Other co-ordinated works may also take place during this period.

Access will be open for pedestrians and cyclists.

The diversion route will be Butchers Lane, Church Lane, Swann Street, Broad Street and vice versa.

It is intended that the closure will operate from 18/09/2024 - 20/09/2024 from 8am - 6pm but, if necessary, the order may remain in force for 18 months (or longer if extended by the Minister). Enquiries should be made to Suffolk Highways. Tel: 0345 606 6171.

TEMPORARY CLOSURE OF PART OF THE U3201 LEVINGTON LANE, BUCKLESHAM

Suffolk County Council intends to make an order closing the U3201 Levington Lane, Bucklesham from the junction with Main Road to the junction with Oak Tree View to facilitate telecommunications fibre installation works. Other co-ordinated works may also take place during this period. Access will be open for pedestrians and cyclists.

The diversion route will be Main Road, The Heath, Tenth Road and vice versa.

It is intended that the closure will operate from 18/09/2024 - 25/09/2024 but, if necessary, the order may remain in force for 18 months (or longer if extended by the Minister). Enquiries should be made to ABC Telecoms. Tel: 07782211465.
