What is happening?

PUBLIC NOTICE THE WOLVERHAMPTON CITY COUNCIL (PENN ROAD) (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER 2024 

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Wolverhampton City Council have made an Order under Section 14(1)(a) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as substituted by the Road Traffic (Temporary Restrictions) Act 1991, prohibiting vehicles from proceeding on Penn Road (inbound) between its junction with Stourbridge Road to its junction with Pinfold Lane. The Order may operate for a maximum period of eighteen months, but it is anticipated that the works will be undertaken on 12 September 2024 and 19 September 2024, between the hours of 09:30 and 14:00. The diversion route is: Warstones Road and Coalway Road. The Order is required to facilitate carriageway surface dressing and carriageway double dressing (Keily Lock) treatment works.
