What is happening?
THE EAST RIDING OF YORKSHIRE COUNCIL
(SHIPTON LANE,
HOLME UPON SPALDING MOOR)
(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF THROUGH
TRAFFIC) ORDER 2024
East Riding of Yorkshire Council has made an Order the
effect of which is to prohibit any person from causing
any vehicle to proceed along the entire length of
Shipton Lane, Holme Upon Spalding Moor from
20.00 hours on Tuesday 17 September 2024 until
06.00 hours on Wednesday 18 September 2024.
The reason for the closure is to enable the proposed
additional works on ESS weather station, to be carried
out and completed in a manner consistent with
ensuring the safety of the public.
It is anticipated that the works will be completed
within ten hours.
The alternative route for traffic affected by the Order
is via Holme Road, Holme Road Roundabout, Giant
Bradley Way, York Road, York Road Eastbound Turning
Loop and Shiptonthorpe Roundabout.
The road will be closed to all traffic, but access will be
maintained for emergency vehicles up to the point of
the closure, but not through it, except for pedestrians.
The Order will commence 17 September 2024 and
continue in force for a period not exceeding eighteen
months or until the works which it is proposed to
carry out have been completed, whichever is the earlier.
