What is happening?

THE NOTTINGHAMSHIRE COUNTY COUNCIL
(NEWGATE LANE, MANSFIELD)
(PROPOSED PARKING RESTRICTIONS) TRAFFIC REGULATION ORDER 2024 (2274)

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Nottinghamshire County Council proposes to make an Order under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, Traffic Management Act 2004, as amended, and The Civil Enforcement of Parking Contraventions (County of Nottinghamshire) Designation Order 2008 (SI 2008 No. 1086), as amended, the effects of which will be, in respects of roads at Mansfield in the District of Mansfield: -
Proposed parking restrictions along the following lengths of road:
Newgate Lane, Mansfield (the north side)
From a point 40 metres south-west of its junction with Gladstone Street in a north-easterly direction for 20 metres.
Other restrictions: - Bus Stop Clearways – No Stopping, except Buses on the following length of road:
Newgate Lane, Mansfield (the north side)
From a point 20 metres south-west of its junction with Gladstone Street in a north-easterly direction for 17 metres.
Newgate Lane, Mansfield (the south side)
From a point 9 metres north-east of it’s junction with Redcliffe Road in a north-easterly direction for 17 metres.

The proposals are being introduced to deal with inconsiderate parking at the junction which is causing visibility issues.
