CENTRAL BEDFORDSHIRE COUNCIL
(PEPSAL END ROAD, PEPPERSTOCK)
(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER 2024
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Central Bedfordshire Council intends not less than seven days from the date of this Notice to make an Order
the effect of which will be to prohibit any vehicle, except a vehicle being used for fire, police or ambulance purposes in an emergency, from proceeding along the entire length of Pepsal End Road, Pepperstock.
This temporary closure is required to replace a defective telegraph pole and shall apply to such extent as may from time to time be indicated by the appropriate traffic signs. Where possible access will be maintained to property and premises but may be restricted from time to time according to local signing.
It is expected that the works will take place on 3 October 2024 between the hours of 8:30am and 3:30pm. The road will be closed at all times during this period.
The alternative route for this closure is via Coles Lane, Annables Lane, The Common, A1081, Half Moon Lane and vice versa.
The Order will come into operation on 3 October 2024 for a period of eighteen months or until the proposed works have been completed, as detailed above, whichever is the earlier.

(WATLING STREET, HOUGHTON REGIS)
(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER 2024
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Central Bedfordshire Council has made an Order the effect of which will be to prohibit any vehicle from proceeding along the length of Watling Street, Houghton Regis adjacent to the White Lion Public House.
This temporary closure is required to enable carriageway works to take place and shall apply to such extent as may from time to time be indicated by the appropriate traffic signs. Where possible access will be maintained to property and premises but may be restricted from time to time according to local signing.
It is expected that the works will take place from 7pm on 16 September to 5am on 17 September 2024. The road will be closed at all times during this period.
The alternative route for this closure is via A505, A5, B5120, A505 and vice versa.
The Order will come into operation on 16 September 2024 for a period of eighteen months or until the proposed works have been completed, as detailed above, whichever is the earlier.
