What is happening?

HERTFORDSHIRE COUNTY COUNCIL:

ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984

TEMPORARY CLOSING OF FOOTPATH HEMEL HEMPSTEAD 50 & 

HEMEL HEMPSTEAD 131

NOTICE is given that the Hertfordshire County Council have made an Order under Section 14 (1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit pedestrians from using that length of Footpath Hemel Hempstead 50 & Hemel Hempstead 131, heading west and south from Green Lane, for an approximate distance of  180 & 350m.

Alternative route: via Breakspear Way and Buncefield Lane The purpose of the Order is to enable drainage works to take place. The section of Footpath will be closed on or after 18 September 2024 for up to 6 months, when signs are in place.

(TEMPORARY CLOSING OF OLD FISHERY LANE, HEMEL HEMPSTEAD)  ORDER 2024

NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council intends to make an Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from using that length of Old Fishery Lane, Hemel Hempstead from a point in line with the northern boundary of ‘Heron House’ south westwards for a distance of approximately 60m (“the Road”).

There is no alternative route available for vehicles when the works are being carried out. However vehicular access to properties in this road will be maintained whenever possible throughout the duration of the works.

The Order is needed because utility service works are proposed to be executed on or near the Road.

If the Order is made, it shall come into force on 26 September 2024 for a period of up to 18 months. However, the restrictions specified shall only take effect at the times indicated by signs on or near the Road.

(TEMPORARY CLOSING OF NETTLEDEN ROAD, POTTEN END/FRITHSDEN)  ORDER 2024

NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council intends to make an Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from using that length of Nettleden Road, Potten End/Frithsden from its junction with Frithsden Copse north eastwards for a distance of approximately 195m (“the Road”), except for access.

An alternative route will be via Vicarage Road, The Front, Water End Road, Potten End Hill, B440 (Leighton Buzzard Road/Dagnall Road), Hudnall Lane and Nettleden Road. The Order is needed because utility service works are proposed to be executed on  or near the Road.

If the Order is made, it shall come into force on 30 September 2024 for a period  of up to 18 months. However, the restrictions specified shall only take effect at the times indicated by signs on or near the Road.

(TEMPORARY CLOSING AND TEMPORARY WAITING RESTRICTIONS IN  COBBETTS RIDE AND ABSTACLE HILL, TRING) ORDER 2024

NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council intends to make an Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from using the following lengths of roads (“the Roads”), except for access and to prohibit all vehicles from waiting at any time on both sides of these lengths of Roads whilst works are in progress:-

1. that length of Cobbetts Ride, Tring from its junction with Miswell Lane south westwards for its entire length.

An alternative route will be via Miswell Lane, Barbers Walk and Abstacle Hill.

2. that length of Abstacle Hill, Tring from its junction with Barbers Walk south eastwards to its junction with Cobbetts Ride, a distance of approximately 74m. An alternative route will be via Barbers Walk, Miswell Lane and Cobbetts Ride. The Order is needed because works are proposed to be executed on or near the Roads.

If the Order is made, it shall come into force on 30 September 2024 for a period  of up to 18 months. However, the restrictions specified shall only take effect at the times indicated by signs on or near the Roads.

(TEMPORARY CLOSING OF PEPSAL END LANE, PEPPERSTOCK) ORDER 2024

NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council intends to make an Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from using that length of Pepsal End Lane, Pepperstock from its junction with C156 (unnamed road) north eastwards for a distance of approximately 992m (“the Road”), except for access.

An alternative route will be via C156 (unnamed road), Coles Lane, Annables Lane,  The Common, A1081 Luton Road, Half Moon Lane and Pepsal End Lane. The Order is needed because utility service works are proposed to be executed on or near the Road.

If the Order is made, it shall come into force on 3 October 2024 for a period of up  to 18 months. However, the restrictions specified shall only take effect at the times indicated by signs on or near the Road.

(TEMPORARY CLOSING OF ST MARGARETS, GREAT GADDESDEN) ORDER 2024

NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council has made the above Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from using that length of St Margarets, Great Gaddesden from a point 23m north west of its junction with Great Gaddesden Public Footpath No.076 north westwards for a distance of approximately 100m (“the Road”).

There is no alternative route available for vehicles when the works are being carried out. However vehicular access to properties in this road will be maintained whenever possible throughout the duration of the works.

The Order is needed because resurfacing works are proposed to be executed on or near the Road.

The Order has been made and shall come into force on 14 September 2024 for a period of up to 18 months. However, the restrictions specified shall only take effect  at the times indicated by signs on or near the Road.

(TEMPORARY CLOSING OF BOURNE END LANE, HEMEL HEMPSTEAD)  ORDER NO.2 2024

NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council has made the above Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from using that length of Bourne End Lane, Hemel Hempstead from a point 107m south east of its junction with A4251 London Road south westwards for a distance  of approximately 20m (“the Road”), except for access.

There is no alternative route available for vehicles when the works are being carried out. However vehicular access to properties in this road will be maintained whenever possible throughout the duration of the works.

The Order is needed because utility service works are proposed to be executed on  or near the Road.

The Order has been made and shall come into force on 16 September 2024 for a period of up to 18 months. However, the restrictions specified shall only take effect  at the times indicated by signs on or near the Road.

(TEMPORARY CLOSING AND TEMPORARY WAITING RESTRICTIONS IN THE BUNCEFIELD LANE ROUNDABOUT, HEMEL HEMPSTEAD) ORDER 2024

NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council has made the above Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from using the Buncefield Lane roundabout, Hemel Hempstead from its junction with Boundary Way clockwise for its entire length (“the Road”).

An alternative route will be via Boundary Way, Three Cherry Trees Lane, Swallowdale Lane, A4147 Maylands Avenue, A414 Breakspear Way, Green Lane and Buncefield Lane.

ADDITIONALLY all vehicles are prohibited from waiting at any time on both sides of this length of the Road whilst works are in progress.

The Order is needed because works are proposed to be executed on or near the Road.

The Order has been made and shall come into force on 16 September 2024 for a period of up to 18 months. However, the restrictions specified shall only take effect  at the times indicated by signs on or near the Road.

(TEMPORARY CLOSING OF HIGHFIELD ROAD, BERKHAMSTED) ORDER 2024

NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council has made the above Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from using that length of Highfield Road, Berkhamsted from a point in line with the northern boundary of No.45 Highfield Road south westwards for a distance of approximately 30m (“the Road”).

An alternative route will be via Highfield Road, A4251 High Street, Victoria Road and Highfield Road.

The Order is needed because electrical connection works are proposed to be executed near the Road.

The Order has been made and shall come into force on 16 September 2024 for a period of up to 18 months. However, the restrictions specified shall only take effect  at the times indicated by signs on or near the Road.

(TEMPORARY CLOSING OF VICARAGE ROAD, POTTEN END) ORDER 2024

NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council has made the above Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from using that length of Vicarage Road, Potten End from its junction with Nettleden Road north eastwards and south eastwards to its junction with The Ford, a distance of approximately 716m (“the Road”).

An alternative route will be via Nettleden Road, The Common, Water End Road and The Ford.

The Order is needed because works are proposed to be executed on or near the Road.

The Order has been made and shall come into force on 16 September 2024 for a period of up to 18 months. However, the restrictions specified shall only take effect  at the times indicated by signs on or near the Road.

THE HERTFORDSHIRE (STOCKS ROAD, TROOPER ROAD, TOMS HILL ROAD 

AND STATION ROAD, ALDBURY) (RESTRICTION OF WAITING) ORDER 2024

NOTICE is given that the Hertfordshire County Council in order to improve road safety proposes under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 to introduce new waiting restrictions in parts of Aldbury as specified in the Schedules to this Notice. Documents giving more detailed particulars of the proposals may be viewed from 11 September 2024 during office hours, at Main Reception, County Hall, Hertford, or on-line at www.hertfordshire.gov.uk/trafficorders by selecting Dacorum and looking at Ref: D01424.

SCHEDULE 1: No waiting at any time – those sections of road listed below and as set out in the Order and scheme plan – Parts of Stocks Road, Trooper Road, Toms Hill Road and Station Road.

SCHEDULE 2: No waiting 8.00am to 6.00pm Monday to Saturday – that section of road listed below and as set out in the Order and scheme plan – Part of Stocks Road. Consulting on this scheme is a statutory duty of the County Council.
