(CHRYSTON ROAD, FAULDHEAD)

(TEMPORARY CLOSURE) (EXTENSION) ORDER 2024

On 10 September 2024 the East Dunbartonshire Council made the above named Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, which makes it unlawful for any person to drive or cause or permit to be driven any motor vehicle (with the exception of vehicles engaged in the works and those vehicles requiring access to properties and land adjacent to the closed section of road when its safe and practical to do so) on Chryston Road Fauldhead between its junction with Market Road, Kirkintilloch and its junction with Sauchenhall Road and Muckcroft Road, by reason of works being executed on or near this road.

Access to properties and land adjacent to the closed section of road will be by way of Sauchenhall Road and Muckcroft Road at the southeastern end of the closure.

The above length of road is currently closed until 18.00 hours on Sunday, 22 September 2024. This Order will extend the closure and will operate from 18.00 hours on Sunday, 22 September 2024 until 23.59 hours on Monday, 17 March 2025.

Alternative Route

The alternative route for vehicles will be by way of Sauchenhall Road, Gartshore Road, Mollins Road, the B8048 Waterside Road, Market Road, Calfmuir Road, and Muckcroft Road, and these routes will be sign posted.
