Kent County Council, acting in exercise of its powers under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, makes or intends to make
the following Orders.

 TUNBRIDGE WELLS AREA

A274 BIDDENDEN ROAD, HEADCORN (TEMPORARY SPEED REDUCTION) TEMPORARY ORDER 2024

To allow new water connection works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of A274 Biddenden Road, Headcorn, on or after 30th September 2024 for up to 3 days or until the works have been completed.

The road will be restricted to 30mph between Weighbridge and The Baptist Church. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

B2079 BEDGEBURY ROAD & BALCOMBE HILL, GOUDHURST, TN17 1EA (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2024

To allow tree felling works to be carried out, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of B2079 Bedgebury Road & Balcombe Hill, Goudhurst, on or after 16th September 2024 for up to 4 days or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed from the junction of Tiddymotts Lane to Lizard Cottage, between the hours of 08:00 and 16:00 only. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

The alternative route for any through traffic is via B2079 Bedgebury Road, B2079 Lady Oak Lane, A21 London Road, A21 Hastings Road, A21 Scotney Castle Roundabout, A21 Lamberhurst Bypass, A21 Forstal Farm Roundabout, A262 Horsmonden Road, A262 Goudhurst Road, A262 Spelmonden Road, A262 Station Road, A262 Clayhill, A262 West Road, A262 The Plain, B2079 Balcombes Hill and vice versa.

BARDEN ROAD, SPELDHURST, TN3 0LE (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2024

To allow pole replacement works to be carried out, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Barden Road, Speldhurst, on or after 17th September 2024 for up to 1 day or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed from the junction of Furzefield Avenue to Little Barden, between the hours of 09:30 and 15:30 only. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

The alternative route for any through traffic is via Barden Road, Speldhurst Hill, Penshurst Road, Poundsbridge, Poundsbridge Lane, B

BEECH LANE, MATFIELD, TN12 7HH (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2024

To allow water meter installation works to be carried out, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Beech Lane, Matfield, on or after 16th September 2024 for up to 3 days or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed outside Enfin. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

The alternative route for any through traffic is via Cryals Road, A21 Hastings Road, Beech Lane and vice versa.

CASTLE ROAD, ROYAL TUNBRIDGE WELLS, TN1 1DR (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2024

To allow new electric connection works to be carried out, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Castle Road, Royal Tunbridge Wells, on or after 17th September 2024 for up to 9 days or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed outside Onslow House. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

The alternative route for any through traffic is via A26 Eridge Road, A26 London Road, A264 Church Road.

DINGLEDEN, BENENDEN, TN17 4JX (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2024

To allow new water connection works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Dingleden, Benenden, on or after 30th September 2024 for up to 3 days or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed outside Cattsford Farm. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

The alternative route for any through traffic is via Dingleden, Dingleden Farm Road, Woodcock Lane, Standen Street, Crouch Lane and vice versa.

FOLLY HILL, CRANBROOK, TN17 2LT (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2024

To allow pole testing works to be carried out, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Folly Hill, Cranbrook, on or after 16th September 2024 for up to 1 day or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed from the junction of Paley Lane to the junction of Round Green Lane, between the hours of 09:30 and 15:30 only. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

The alternative route for any through traffic is via Colliers Green Road, A262 Goudhurst Road, A229 Wilsley Pound, A229 The Common, A229 Camden Hill, A229 Rocks Hill, A229 Knoxbridge, A229 Cranbrook Road, Pinnock Lane, Goudhurst Road, Folly Hill and vice versa.

GARDEN STREET, ROYAL TUNBRIDGE WELLS, TN1 2PT (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2024

To allow underground cabling works to be carried out, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Garden Street, Royal Tunbridge Wells, on or after 18th September 2024 for up to 7 days or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed from the junction of Calverley Street. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

There is no alternative route for any through traffic and access will be maintained.

MARLE PLACE ROAD, TONBRIDGE, TN12 8DS (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2024

To allow overhead cabling works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Marle Place Road, Horsmonden, on or after 3rd October 2024 for up to 1 day or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed from the junction of B2162 Lamberhurst Road and the junction of Ruck Lane, between the hours of 09:30 and 15:30 only. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

The alternative route for any through traffic is via Ruck Lane, B2162 Lamberhurst Road, Marle Place Road and vice versa.

NEWCOMEN ROAD, ROYAL TUNBRIDGE WELLS, TN4 9SA (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2024

To allow water works to be carried out, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Newcomen Road, Royal Tunbridge Wells, on or after 17th September 2024 for up to 3 days or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed outside Clayfield Mews. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

The alternative route for any through traffic is via Newcomen Road, Currie Road, Queens Road, A26 St Johns Road and vice versa.

SHERENDEN ROAD, TUDELEY, TN11 0PD (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2024

To allow pole testing works to be carried out, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Sherenden Road, Tudeley, on or after 20th September 2024 for up to 1 day or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed from Bank Farm Cottages to the Oast Houses, between the hours of 09:30 and 15:30 only. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

The alternative route for any through traffic is via Sherenden Road, Hartlake Road, B2017 Crockhurst Street, Sherenden Road and vice versa.

SLIP MILL LANE, CRANBROOK (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2024

To allow pole replacement works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Slip Mill Lane, Cranbrook, on or after 4th October 2024 for up to 1 day or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed from the junction of Sopers Lane to Lynton, between the hours of 09:30 and 15:30 only. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

The alternative route for any through traffic is via Slip Mill Lane, A268 High Street, Slip Mill Road and vice versa.

ST MARKS ROAD, ROYAL TUNBRIDGE WELLS, TN2 5XJ (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2024

To allow new water connection works to be carried out, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of St Marks Road, Royal Tunbridge Wells, on or after 16th September 2024 for up to 4 days or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed outside Hargate House. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

The alternative route for any through traffic is via St Marks Road, A267 Frant Road, Broadwater Down, St Marks Road and vice versa.

WAGON LANE, PADDOCK WOOD (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2024

To allow tree felling works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Wagon Lane, Paddock Wood, on or after 2nd October 2024 for up to 1 day or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed between High Lees Cottage and the Level crossing, during the hours of 09:30 and 16:30 only. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

The alternative route for any through traffic is via Wagon Lane, Queen Street, Lucks Lane, B2160 Maidstone Road, Wagon Lane and vice versa.

WILMAN ROAD, ROYAL TUNBRIDGE WELLS, TN4 9AN (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2024

To allow remedial works to be carried out, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Wilman Road, Royal Tunbridge Wells, on or after 16th September 2024 for up to 2 days or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed outside 44. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

The alternative route for any through traffic is via Powder Mill Lane, Newlands Road, Newlands Way and vice versa.
