Essex - Multiple Temporary Road Closures due to Works.
What is happening?

(Colchester Road, White Colne)
(Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2024
Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council intends, not less than seven days from the date of this notice, to make the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.
Effect of the order: To temporarily close that length of Colchester Road, White Colne in the District of Braintree, from a point approximately 30m south east of its junction with Colne Park Road for a distance of approximately 115m in a south easterly direction. The closure is scheduled to commence on 30th September 2024 for 1 day, or where stated on a valid permit (AD03062007861/4 - Anglian Water). The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on one.network. The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while meter exchange works are undertaken by Anglian Water.
An alternative route is available via Head Street, High Street, Bridge Street, Trinity Street, Mount Hill, Braintree Road, Bournebridge Hill, Pennypot Corner, Halstead Road, High Garrett, Broad Road Roundabout, Braintree Bypass - A131, A120 and vice versa (with access only into Halstead Road, Ford Street Hill, Ford Street, Halstead Road, Colchester Road, Colneford Hill, Lower Holt Street, Upper Holt Street, Church Hill, High Street, Halstead Road, Stonebridge Hill, Parley Beams and Colchester Road).
The Order will come into effect on 12th September 2024 and may continue in force for 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the earlier.
(Ramsey Road/Mitchell Avenue, Halstead)
(Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2024
Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council intends, not less than seven days from the date of this notice, to make the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.
Effect of the order: To temporarily close that length of Ramsey Road/Mitchell Avenue, Halstead in the District of Braintree, from a point approximately 160m south east of the junction with Abels Road for a distance of approximately 45m in a south easterly then north easterly direction. The closure is scheduled to commence on 30th September 2024 for 3 days, or where stated on a valid permit (AD03164357607 - Anglian Water). The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on one.network. The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while sluice valve replacement works are undertaken by Anglian Water.
An alternative route is available via Mount Hill, Trinity Street, Kings Road and vice versa (with access only into Ramsey Road and Mitchell Avenue).
The Order will come into effect on 12th September 2024 and may continue in force for 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the earlier.
(York Road, Earls Colne)
(Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2024
Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council intends, not less than seven days from the date of this notice, to make the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.
Effect of the order: To temporarily close that length of York Road, Earls Colne in the District of Braintree, from its junction with High Street to its junction with Park Lane a distance of approximately 220m. The closure is scheduled to commence on 30th September 2024 for 22 days (in 2 phases), or where stated on a valid permit (AZ5011001355164 - Cadent). The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on one.network. The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while mains replacement works are undertaken by Cadent.
An alternative route is available via Queens Road, High Street, Park Lane and vice versa.
The Order will come into effect on 12th September 2024 and may continue in force for 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the earlier.
(Stambourne Road, Great Yeldham)
(Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2024
Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council has made the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.
Effect of the order: To temporarily close that length of Stambourne Road, Great Yeldham in the District of Braintree, from its junction with Ridgewell Road for a distance of approximately 1440m in a westerly direction. The closure is scheduled to commence on 16th September 2024 for 10 days, or where stated on a valid permit (EP201EH2357347 - Essex County Council). The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on one.network. The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while carriageway patching works are undertaken by Essex County Council.
An alternative route is available via Stambourne Road, Great Yeldham Road, Church Road, Wesley End Road, Stambourne Road, Drury Lane, Mill Road, Ridgewell Road and vice versa.
The Order came into effect on 29th August 2024 and may continue in force for 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the earlier.
(Starlings Hill, Sible Hedingham)
(Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2024
Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council has made the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.
Effect of the order: To temporarily close that length of Starlings Hill, Sible Hedingham in the District of Braintree, from its junction with Braintree Road for a distance of approximately 750m in a north westerly direction (to the point the road name changes to Southey Green). The closure is scheduled to commence on 10th September 2024 for 2 nights (20:00-05:00), or where stated on a valid permit (EP201EH2321230 - Essex County Council). The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on one.network. The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while fencing and guardrail works are undertaken by Essex County Council.
An alternative route is available via Braintree Road, Queen Street, Potter Street, Lamb Lane, Innham Hill, Horn Hill, Southey Green and vice versa.
The Order came into effect on 29th August 2024 and may continue in force for 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the earlier.
(Wethersfield Road, Sible Hedingham)
(Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2024
Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council has made the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.
Effect of the order: To temporarily close that length of Wethersfield Road, Sible Hedingham in the District of Braintree, from a point approximately 480m south west of its junction with Prayors Hill for a distance of approximately 30m in a south westerly then north westerly direction. The closure is scheduled to commence on 16th September 2024 for 3 days, or where stated on a valid permit (AD01310765538 - Anglian Water). The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on one.network. The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while new connection works are undertaken by Anglian Water.
An alternative route is available via Braintree Road, Wethersfield Road, The Street, Braintree Road, Panfield Road, Deanery Hill, Church Lane, Broad Road, Convent Hill, Broad Road, Broad Road Roundabout, High Garrett, Gosfield Road, Braintree Road, The Street, Braintree Road, Hedingham Road, Queen Street, Potter Street, Swan Street, Rectory Road, Prayors Hill and vice versa (with access only into Wethersfield Road, Almshouse Green, Wethersfield Road, Hudsons Hill and High Street).
The Order came into effect on 29th August 2024 and may continue in force for 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the earlier.
