Crookilley Way- Temporary One Way Traffic For High Speed Roads Maintenance Works
What is happening?
THE METROPOLITAN BOROUGH COUNCIL OF STOCKPORT (CROOKILLEY WAY, BRINNINGTON) (TEMPORARY ONE WAY TRAFFIC) NOTICE 2024
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Metropolitan Borough Council of Stockport proposes to make an Order not less than 7 days from the date of this Notice under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffc Regulation Act 1984 as amended by the Road Traffc (Temporary Restrictions) Act 1991, the effect of which will be to introduce Temporary One Way Traffc at Crookilley Way, eastbound closure from Portwood Roundabout to M60 Junction 26 whilst traffc signs to that effect are in place on or near the said roads. This Order is necessary because high speed roads maintenance works are being or proposed to be carried out. It is anticipated that the maximum duration of the works will be 2 nights. Alternative routes will be provided via:- Carrington Road, Stockport Road West, Ashton Road and Crookilley Way. This Order is to come into operation on the 19 September 2024 and will have effect for eighteen months, provided that if all necessary works are completed within a shorter period this Order shall cease to have effect at the end of that shorter period.
